Unit Plan: Abstract

This is a five-day unit plan titled: “Fire Safety.” This unit plan is made for a second grade

classroom. It covers the topics on fire safety. The different topics are: warning sounds and signs,

knowing why/how to report an emergency, the stop, drop, and roll procedure, how to make a fire

escape plan, and knowing two important duties of a firefighter. This unit involves many different

technologies and hands on activities to appeal to many learning styles. Technologies in this unit

plan are Twitter, Facebook, Wikispaces, Weebly, Gimp, posters, video cameras, cameras,

Youtube, Blogster, computers, Art Bots, Zello, and Blogster.
