In the hours before an earthquake, animals sometimes act strangely. Dogs bark and bark. Horses kick at barn walls.

suddenly = all at once = all of a sudden 突然注意下列各字的動詞三態及現在分詞 說謊 lie lied lied lying 躺 lie lay lain lying放置;產卵 lay laid laid laying 同一句中,過去完成式表示先發生的事,過去簡單式表示後發生的事。I lost the book I had bought yesterday.I didn’t know him, because I had never s

hungry 當主詞補語修飾 a man.類似的用法有: After a day’s work, he often comes hom

to = in order to; so as to 為了;以便表示「目的」,有時可置於句首用來強調。He has to get up early to catch the first b

At times there are quakes under the sea. Then a great wall of water may wash over the land.

Animals seem to sense the danger. In one place, the birds flew away from the water. Cows left their fields near the sea. They moved to the hills. Soon the fields were flooded.  

It seems that animals feel the danger of a coming earthquake.
