The Tropical Savanna is a grassy land-scape, either just grasslands or wood-lands with a grassy ground layer, that occur in tropical areas that have a dry
season
R A I N O R S H I N E ! Wet-Dry Climate
Monthly mean temperatures above 18 °C (64 °F) in every month of the year ☀ 💦
The soil of tropical grasslands is porous, with rapid drainage of water. It has only a thin layer of humus, which provides vege-
tation with nutrients.
For our Seattleites: There is a wet season in the summer with around 15 to 25 inches of rain
For normal people: There is a dry season in the winter
when only a couple of inches of rain may fall
Tips for Travelers
The best times to visit are April-May and September-October due to the
pleasant temperatures and rare afternoon storms
