building or assembling infrastructure. There are over 1 billion constructions in the world, in fact, you are in one right now. But in order to make

these wonderful constructions, a fair amount of trigonometry is involved.

Using Trigo to find the height of a really tall

building To do so, you have to measure the distance from where your at, to the base of the building. From there you use a clinometer to measure the angle of elevation from where your at to the top of the building. By knowing both the measurements, you use the trigonometric identities to find out the height of the building.

lighthouseIn real life situations , its sometime difficult to measure lengths and distances directly so, we use the angle of elevation and depression.

From point 28m from the foot of a lighthouse, the angle of elevation to the top of the lighthouse is 37degrees . Find the height h of the lighthouse, to the nearest meter.
