Introduction

Touch screen is a touch-sensitive transparent panel which is used to point the objects on the screen by simply using your finger.

Evidently, the first touch

screen was a capacitive type

A touch Screen is based on

CRT(Cathode Ray Tube) Technology,

That accepts direct On-screen input

The Display Screen Has A Sensitive

Glass Placed on it And We Could the Desired Input By

Touching It.

The first ever touch screen was

developed by E.A Johnson at the Royal Radar

 Establishment

A touch screen is an electronic visual display capable of ‘detecting’

and effectively ‘locating’ a touch over

its display area.

Applications

For the people worried about hygiene,

most devices are easy to clean, some are even dirt, dust and grease resistant

Touch screen devices have limited buttons that will possibly break after 3 – 4

years

Having less or not buttons means that you can put

more effort into having a big screen

Touch screen devices usually have more simple user interfaces Ex. IPod

Apps

Touch screens are easy to use helping more people

get used to using computers

In direct sunlight it is much less effecting and most of the time very difficult to read the screen

The screen has to be big enough to be able to touch the

buttons without missing

The screens will get very dirty

If a touch screen devise were to crash the whole screen would be

unresponsive, and because of the lack of buttons revoering it would be very

difficult

Having a big bright screen and needing massive computing

power to run this means a very low battery life

Statistical Approach

Future

“ Tomorrow’s touch screens will not only recognize finger pressure, but interact with a

host of touch sensors wrapped around the body of the phone. ”

In the near future touch screen would conquer every

aspect of technology
