Act, Statutes, Ordinances & Regulations”. • Important. Madhya Pradesh has a unified

Act for all Universities known as• “The Madhya Pradesh Viswavidyalaya

Adhiniyam 1973(No 22 of 1973)” with 4 schedules.

• Universities of other states have separate Act of each University.

World Class Education( Gray revolution)

• The Destiny of the Nation depends on the Universities and Colleges.

• Education System at all (Three) levels.• If all is well with University/Colleges, all

would be well with the Nation.• Quality Education, its relevance and

excellence, is recognized globally.• Quality needs ensured but also assured

Problems in India

• Multi language & multi religious.

• Religions are based on Faith.

• The (religion) faith has been well protected by the constitution of India.

Function of University & College

• The function of Universities/colleges is to generate knowledge.

• Knowledge could be generated through teaching and research.

• Both are essential.

Duty of Teachers

• Teacher should teach and students should attend classes.

• If, teachers attend the class & teach regularly (according to time table)- not miss class.

• Consult literature and books, prepare notes.• Consult Journal so that they can pass recent

information to the students.• Give references in his lecture.• Seminar should be organized.

UGC ACT- section 2 (f) & 12 B

• The University Grants Commission (UGC) provides financial assistance to eligible colleges which

are included under Section 2(f)and declared fit to receive central assistance (UGC grant) under

Section 12 (B)** as per approved pattern of assistance under various schemes.

• Governor of the State is the ex-officio Chancellor of the universities in (GENERALLY )State.

Efforts of United Nations for Belching of

Green House Gases. A shrift. Several Conferences of Parties (COP) on Climate Change were held from time to time. UNFCCC, Kyoto Protocol, Bali, Copenhagen, Paris. Bonn(Germany).IGPCC.

Unanimously concluded that

‘Green House Gases (GHGs) are mainly responsible for climate Change ( Global Warming)’.

Implementation / Translation is still awaited.

PARIS Convention (COP-28)- force on 4 November 2016.

• 170 Parties have ratified of 197 Parties to the Convention. 15-18 November 2016.

• Strengthen the global response – Similar conditions of Koyoto Protocol.

A. Keeping a global temperature - not 2 degrees

Celsius above. B. 55 Parties & 55 % of total reduction.

Technology required to replace fossil fuel.

• Cheap, efficient easily available in plenty.

• Managing from molecule to community.• Hydrogen power vehicle available run on

hydrogen from water by electrolysis.• Hydrogen fuel cell cars & Hydrogen on

demand.
