• Ledverlichting in kassen: met minder energie meer bloemen en groenten van betere
kwaliteit
• In de glastuinbouw wordt veel belichting toegepast om het hele jaar door groenten en
bloemen van hoge kwaliteit te kunnen leveren. Door efficiëntere conversie van elektriciteit
in licht kunnen led' s momenteel circa 25% energie besparen ten opzichte van de meest
gebruikte lampen (SONt). Nog belangrijker is dat we de positionering, timing en het
spectrum van led's zodanig kunnen aanpassen dat de opbrengst en kwaliteit van de
tuinbouwproducten stijgt. Zo hebben we ook al aangetoond dat het vitamine C gehalte
van tomatenvruchten sterk verhoogd kan worden.
