Transcript of Tinker Around with Your Career

99% of the time, finding your way to success is a very fuzzy process.

Over time, you have tomake many small changes.

If you are persistent – and lucky – sometimesthings will go from fuzzy to clear.

You’ll see patterns emerge out of nowhere.

What you meant to be a better mousetrap…

might turn out to be a better cleaning product.

You may be amazed and baffled at the same time.

Tinkering around requires the ability to openyour mind to new possibilities.

It requires incredible

PERSISTENCE

To create the images in this

Slideshare, I took over 5,000 photos

and tossed out about 4,975 of

them.

Your mistakes do not matter, only the

successes.

Tinker with your resume, cover letter, mindset,

education and career goals.

Tinker in small ways, but occasionally take big leaps, too.

Despite complicated explanations to the contrary, tinkering is what drives most innovation.

The path to innovationstarts with tinkering.

Never stop tinkering, unless you are ready to wind down your

career.

WARNING: If you can’t tell your boss that you spent the morning tinkering around, you may be working for a business on its way downhill.

Great companies always tinker with success.

To have a great career, you should tinker around, too.

Just for the record, this is the fourth time I have

tinkered around with

this Slideshare.

Photo number 4,910.

Go ahead,start tinkering.
