SummaryWhat Does PJ Want You To Notice?
LyX’s Frame approach is a bit frustrating
Lyx has a (frustrating) environment for frames (changes overtime)
Must indent everything, wastes screen spaceframe options difficult to specifyVery touch GUI to create new frames (maybe I’m just notyoung enough)
Generally, I don’t use their GUI, I use ERT:
\ beg in { frame }\ f r am e t i t l e {Thi s i s what the ERT s l i d e l o o k s l i k e}
followed by ordinary LyX content, ending with more ERT
\end{ frame }

SummaryWhat Does PJ Want You To Notice?
This is what the ERT slide looks like
anything here is ordinary lyx contentawesome math works fine:
Γ(x) = βki α1α2
κp (1)
Can cross reference equation (1) and use sections and all thatJust remember to insert the end{frame}!

In LyX, can create features expected in Slides...
Please notice we haveitemized or enumerated liststwo column frames (but not nice looking inside LYX)“feature/alert” theorem blocks, although clumbsy
Please experiment with edits, and FREQUENTLY try to View thePDF result.

Turn on Source View
You’ll see some simple, uncustomized LATEX markup (see the“itemize” environment for lists). Most of the markup you seewould be standard.Run File -> Export -> LATEX (pdflatex). That will create a*.tex file you can edit and test if you want to be a “raw”LATEX user.Over time, the LyX source view looks more and more likeLaTeX you’d write for yourself.
