WHO IS THE KEY TARGET? WHO IS INVOLVED?ARE WOMEN AND MEN EQUALLY INVOLVED?
The Orphans and vulnerable children, vulnerablewomen, youth and men, those living with HIV ANDAIDS and the care givers
The hearing impaired of school going age
Both men and women are involved though mostmen leave the projects to look for quick moneyelsewhere

We have been able to source funds from government throughcraids to buy a hammer mill, women and youth contributedmoney to start up the charcoal business
Human resource is sourced from among the membership
To generate income to support the needy Moneys raised are used to pay school fees for orphans and
vulnerable children and milk for food supplement for thechronically ill

IMPACT (BASED ON THE SADC PROTOCOLTARGETS)
With reference to Article 27 which coversprevention, treatment, care and support in relationto HIV and AIDS, the project has provided anopportunity for women especially to be empowered
with information on HIV and AIDS , andeconomically, and hence participating in decisionmaking in their homes leading to increased accessto HIV and AIDS treatment for infected women,

WHAT LESSONS HAVE BEEN LEARNED?
Most men want to work where there is quick money
It is very difficult to coordinate a project run by a groupbecause usually people want to leave the responsibility to the
other person
Also, people usually want to quickly share profits amongthemselves as adults forgetting the young like orphans andvulnerable children and the hearing impaired
