The Virtues of Bismillah By Mufti Muhammad Shafi' Usmani Allamah Qurtubi رحمة اللہ علیہ has quoted the narration of 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud رضی اللہ عنہ who said, "Whoever wants to be saved from the 19 sentries of Hell, should recite Bismillah so that from its 19 letters, each letter becomes a shield for him and he is saved."
