Finding #1: The vast majority of marketers think highly of their own productivity; they’re less sure about their colleagues.

We asked marketers: “How would you rate yourself, your manager, and your direct reports overall with regard to their productivity?”84% rated themselves high in productivity compared to their co-workers, managers, leaders, and direct reports.64% rated their managers high in productivity.47% rated their direct reports high in productivity.

Finding #2: Cross-team conflict is more common in marketing.

We asked marketers: “Which of the following is the most common source of conflict with other departments/groups/teams?”98% experience conflict with other departments/groups/teamsAnd where does this conflict come from?

Finding #3: Marketing conflict comes from poor communication and misalignment.
