The Smoking Museum

THE SMOKING MUSEUM

• To demonstrate how global attitudes toward smoking have developed and transformed over the years.

• Impression: Smoking is an archaic practice, long-since vanished from mainstream society.

• No smoking is permitted.

Open: Tuesday – Sunday 2pm – 7pm

History• After the passage of the Loi Évin, (alcohol policy law), in 1991, the French

government curbed tobacco advertising and began progressively restricting smoking in public spaces.

• 2001: the changing societal views of smoking behind these policy changes inspired Tigrane Hadengue and Mishka Seeliger.
