1. The fundamental technologies used in Digital Earth Applications and the way they are applied are essentially the same as those used in Digital Medicine.

2. There is much to be gained by cross-disciplinary collaboration between scientists, academics and practitioners in both fields

3. Developing a joint technology roadmap in areas of common interest would benefit both disciplines
