Context

THE SITE IN LONDON

THE SITE IN GREENWICH EAST GREENWICH PLEASAUNCE

This project was on the historical East Greenwich Pleasaunce. The walled garden was once an orchard becoming an overflow graveyard for the Royal Hospital (now naval college) in 1856. It now stands as a public park containing a cafe and community centre amoung the many graves.

In this project I focused on celebrating the river thames and the life it has bought to greenwich both by commemorating those buried in the park and thorugh carefull design intention. I also Intended to provide a more communal space for the community thus bringing them closer and creating a more pleasurable space.
