States?• According to the Centers for Disease Control nearly 600,000 Americans die

of heart disease each year.

Main Purpose of TodayTo inform you about the human heart. 1. The primary function of the heart

1. To pump oxygenated blood and nutrients to the rest of the body

2. The way the heart works1. Electrical current is sent through the heart causing it to contract.

3. The way the heart survives 1. Uninterrupted electrical current and free flowing Oxygen enriched blood.

4. The way the heart dies. 1. Interrupted electrical current and lack of oxygenated blood flow.
