Zeus the gods bless Cadmus with his own

city, which he names

Thebes. However, that is pretty much the only luck

he has his entire life.

Thebes was his greatest legacy…but

was eventually conquered.

Thebes is later conquered by a neighboring city and after all the Thebans are killed, it is said the only thing left of the city was the necklace Hephaestus gave to Harmonia when she married Cadmus.
