• JA Resorts & Hotels is an international hospitality company based in Dubai, with over 30 years’ experience in managing and operating resorts and hotels.
• A combination of heartfelt hospitality, casual luxury and resort-style leisure is central to the company’s collection, predominantly comprised of five and four-star properties.
• Established in 1981 with the opening of Jebel Ali Hotel, the company has remained true to its Arabic roots with its headquarters in the United Arab Emirates.

• Reduced consumption – of water and energy through installation of saving devices.Saving: Approximately 600 gallons of water recovered per day
• Recycling – of various resources like paper, cans, water and organic waste
AQUAPONICS
• Revolutionary scheme for growing organic vegetables, herbs and fruits
• Fertilising them with the waste water from fish at JA Jebel Ali Golf Resort
• Completely organic, more productive
• Uses 90% less water than conventional gardens.
• No weeds, fewer pests, and no watering and fertilizing
AQUAPONICS
BIO GARDEN
• In 2006 JA Jebel Ali Golf Resort started a 50 sqm garden
• Today, it is over 1,000 sqm
• Supplies the resort with many of the herbs and vegetables used in its restaurants
• Water irrigation dripping lines, bamboo poles and nets for protection of the herbs were funded by the sale of the kitchen’s discharged cooking oil to an organisation that produces bio fuel.
• Education venue for schools and universities
MARINE ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES
• Fish Releases – in collaboration with the EHS and the Marine Resource Centre of Ministry of Environment and Water releases fish into the Arabian Gulf to assist sustainable fishing.
• Reef Ball Placement – partners with Al Boom Diving to assist redevelopment of marine life within JA Jebel Ali Golf Resort’s safe swimming areas
MARINE ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES
• Great Gulf Turtle Race – sponsored endangered hawksbill turtles released into the wild with trackers, allowing experts to monitor feeding and nesting patterns . Part of the EWS-WWF’s Marine Turtle Conservation Project.
• Endangered species protection – restaurant menus do not include foods that are endangered or threatened in their natural environment, like Bluefin tuna, Chinook salmon, Hammour, dolphin, whale or shark.
THE COMMUNITY
• Clean up the World’ campaign – company associates participated in one of the largest worldwide volunteer projects by collecting rubbish from beaches and desert environments
• Blood Donation Drives
• Charity support – hosting and sponsoring special events and making donations to Al Noor School for Children with Special Needs, Breast Cancer Association, Centre for Autism and Foresight

• Participated in EHS Fun Run• Took part in the Pink Walkathon• Donation to needy people• Tourism Environmental Training
workshops – hosts and support DTCM workshops that are part of the long-term Green Economy initiative of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, launched in 2012 to maintain a sustainable environment that can support long-term economic growth.
THE COMMUNITY
• Emiratisation –a dedicated, corporate department that develops sustainable, long-term employment of UAE nationals within the company’s UAE hotels
• UAE National Day – creating an extensive exhibition with interactive guest events to showcase Emirati traditions and culture
