I shall be telling this with a sighSomewhere ages and ages hence; Two roads diverged in a wood, and I– I took the one less traveled by,And that has made all the difference.

The Wide PathThis path is the way of the world with
few rules, restrictions, or requirements.
Life is about more possessions, more prominence, more power, more pleasure.
Philippians 3:18-19 “For many walk, of whom I often told you, and now tell you even weeping, that they are enemies of the cross of Christ, whose end is destruction, whose god is their appetite, and whose glory is in their shame, who set their minds on earthly things.”

The Wide PathJames 4:4 “Do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.”
2 Thessalonians 1:8-9 “Those who do not know God and those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ . . . will pay the penalty of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and the glory of His power.”

The Wide PathRevelation 20:12 “And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and the books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds.”
Revelation 20:15 “And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.”

The Wide PathLuke 17:27 says, “They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.”
1 Thessalonians 5:2-3 “The day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night. While they are saying, ‘Peace and safety!’ then destruction will come upon them suddenly like birth pangs upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.”

The Narrow PathMatthew 7:14 “For the gate is small, and the path is narrow that leads to life…”
John 10:10 “I came to give you life, and that you might have it more abundantly.”
John 11:25 “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.”
John 14:6 “I am the way, the truth, and the life.”

The Narrow PathThose who follow this path must leave the things of this world behind.
Hebrews 12:1 “Let us lay aside every weight, every encumbrance (everything that weighs us down), and lay aside all the sin that so easily besets/entangles us…”
Galatians 5:16 Paul said we are to “walk by the Spirit” and not “carrying the lusts/sinful desires of the flesh.”
