LITURGICAL MINISTRY SCHEDULE
Seventeenth Sunday in Ordinary Time The Miracle of Sharing
The readings describe how life flourishes when virtues are practiced. In a world of both over-consumption on the part of some people and far too many broken relationships, these readings invite us to live simply and virtuously. The readings call us to be forever mindful of others’ needs while striving to grow ever more deeply into the divine vision of one body, one family, so deeply loved by one God.
**************************
Once again, because the people share, scarcity becomes abundance and mindfulness guards against overconsumption. After feeding everyone and always wanting to stay “under the wire” in order to continue his mission and ministry, Jesus retreats to the mountain. In the biblical world, mountains are frequent places of solace, solitude, prayer and the encounter with God. The readings remind us that we live in a world of abundance. When the global human community learns to share and embrace a life of virtue, maybe then world hunger can be eradicated. Such “miracles” happened once; they can happen again. When things change and you need help, God is with you.
When you are afraid and lonely, God is with you.
When you are thankful, God is with you.
We will be exploring the adventures of Daniel from the Old Testament. There will be crafts and games,
music and drama, as we spend the week in a Babylonian Marketplace outside the Royal Palace of the King.
THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HAVE REGISTERED FOR VBS!

Facility Update
After a yearly routine maintenance visit we
learned that the three A/C units in the
Church are no longer able to perform their
duties. All three of the units are 22 years old
and have outlasted the average life span for A/C units.
We are hoping to have the new units in place
as soon as possible. But, if you are thinking
the Church is a little warm, please be patient
and think cool thoughts as we prepare to
install the new units.
The new units will be funded through generous donations
to the Building and Construction Fund. These funds have
been restricted for projects such as this.
If you have any questions about this or any project here on
the campus, please feel free to contact the Office during
business hours, we would love to chat about it!
