THE CURRENT ICD-9 SYSTEM HAS 13,000 CODES
The new ICD-10 systems have 68,000 billing codes.
Doctors are worried about the expansive diagnostic codes.
A recent survey by the AHIMA and the eHealth Initiatives found-
• 38% of providers think revenue will decrease in year following the switch from ICD-9.
• Only 6% think revenue will increase.
