MissionTheTechActivitiesBoard(TAB)isagroupofstudentleadersdedicatedtoprogrammingsocial,diverse,traditional,communityoutreach,andeducationaleventstoenhanceeachstudent’sindividualexperienceatTexasTechUniversity.
HistoryTheTechActivitiesBoardisthelargeststudentprogrammingboardoncampusandisresponsibleforplanningqualityeventsfortheuniversitycommunity.TABwasfoundedin1953astheUniversityCenterProgrammingBoardandreinventedin2006,asTAB,tobetterserveandidentifywiththestudentpopulation.Today,TABplaysavitalroleinfosteringanddevelopingRedRaiderspiritandtraditionssuchas Homecoming,RaiderGate,ArborDay,andincreatingcommunityontheTexasTechcampus.
PurposeTABstrivestobringthebestlocal,college,andnationalentertainmentandeducationalprogramstoTexasTechUniversity. TABoffersstudents,faculty,staff,andcommunitymembers’diverseprogramminginsupportoftheeducationalmissionsoftheUniversitywhileprovidingstudentswithleadershiptrainingandhands-onlearningastheyselect,plan,implement,andevaluateprograms. AllprogramsareofferedfreeoratareducedcosttoTexasTechstudents.

OUTREACHisresponsibleforcommunityoutreachprogrammingandcreatingpartnershipsandconnectionsoncampusandinthegreaterLubbockcommunitythroughprogramsincludingServiceWeek,DiversityWeek,andmonthlyserviceopportunities.OUTREACHisalsoresponsibleforplanningtheRaidersGiveBack(RGB)eventswhichgivebacktotheLubbockCommunity.
SPIRIT&TRADITIONisresponsibleforTexasTechHomecomingWeekprogramming,includingvariouseventssuchasStudentOrganizationSing,PepRally,Bonfire,Parade,andHomecomingCourt,aswellasanyotherprogramsrelatedtoHomecoming.ThisSpringSPIRIT&TRADITIONfacilitatedPepRalliesinthelocalelementaryschoolstoencouragekidstoconsiderattendingcollege.SPIRIT&TRADITIONisalsoresponsibleforplanningandimplementingvariousmusicalentertainmentactsoncampusforconcerteventslikeRaiderGate:AStudentTailgateTradition,RaiderCityLimitsspringconcert,andArborDay.
