Read the ENTIRE question before trying

to answer it!

Read ALL of the answer choices.

Underline important words or terms in the question or passage.

On graphs, pictures or charts, carefully read

all of the labels!

Try to eliminate any obviously wrong choices.•Read each choice one by one.

•Get rid of answers you know are wrong by marking through the letter.

•Save choices that might be correct or that you aren’t sure about.

•Choose the best answer from the choices you think might be right!

Don’t rush – think through the question!

Once you have chosen an answer, don’t second guess

yourself!

If you get stuck, don’t spend too

much time on it. Flag the question and

return later.
