Greetings Transportation Professionals:

Welcome to the 2017/2018 state in-service training. As always, this is your class! Ask questions, input situational information and most of all emerge as a stronger team member! Thank you for protecting our children.

How will you answer the following Question; where will my actions lead me? As we enter into this year’s training session, consider the great responsibility that we shoulder while protecting the children of the great state of Tennessee.

The care and responsibility displayed by many of our school bus drivers continues to be of the utmost importance. However, the situations (stimuli) that we face each day have become more and more complex. We must be vigilant in creating a safe school bus and ever seeking new ideas as well as exploring new processes that can help us in getting children to and from school and extracurricular activates safely!

Finally, let us remember Zyanna, CorDayja, Mateen, Zoie, Kenote and D’myunn who perished in the school bus crash in Chattanooga. Let us also remember the other children in bus 366 who

will forever have the memory of that horrible day when their friends, classmates and fellow bus riders perished.
