Where children are going?

• The technology most children experience outside schools is far superior to what schools have

outcomes and wellbeing for all children and young people regardless of their socio economic background; and

• Reduce the variation in learning outcomes within and between classrooms, schools and local authorities

No school can be truly effective without effective use of technology

Technology changes the way we teach and learn

Technology in Education• Keep up with technology (and

our children)

• Make the education system as efficient as possible through technology-enabled change

• Education must drive technology need, not technology driving education

Old teaching + new technology = expensive old teaching

New technology + change in learning practice = enhanced outcomes
