Our fans and control systems provide ventilation, cooling and air conditioning in large buildings such as the Allianz Arena in Munich. However, they are also deployed in lab-oratories, wind-driven power stations, cooling units and transformers, in pipes deep underground and in buildings at extreme altitudes and locations.
Our drives make it quick, easy and convenient for l ifts to move between floors, and also fulfi l their essential task in generators and X-ray machines. Their versatil ity knows no limits. From Lima to Künzelsau – my path to ZIEHL -ABEGG
Back in 2012, when I decided to study in Germany, I would never have believed that I would end up in Künzelsau. I was even more surprised when I discovered that this tiny city was home to so many international companies. For me, Künzelsau was just a small, curious place with too many companies and too few students.
This changed once I had had my fil l of part-time restaurant jobs and wanted to move on to something related to my studies. After briefly researching the companies based in the city, I tried my luck with ZIEHL-ABEGG – and, as luck would have it, things worked out. Two days after my inter-view, I was able to start as a working student in the Market-ing department. That was in 2013.
To begin with, I underestimated Künzelsau – and ZIEHL-ABEGG. A fan manufacturer had not been my idea of a dynamic company, but I could not have been more wrong. I found my role as a working student so fascinating that I decided to complete my mandatory in-ternship at ZIEHL-ABEGG as well. My superiors found it important that I should continue to learn a great deal
during this subsequent internship, which is why I was assigned to the Sales Export department. Once again, there was never a dull moment and I was even able to participate in a strategic meeting spanning several days.
I then wrote my Bachelor ’s thesis in the Sales Export department. Even before I had finished my studies, I already knew what I would go on to next – a trainee programme at ZIEHL-ABEGG. This position had been offered to me at a supervisory meeting with the Human Resources department after I had expressed my de-sire to remain at ZIEHL-ABEGG. I am very excited to be taking this step, especially as I wil l be able to work abroad for three months. Maybe I wil l even end up back in South America!
