MERCHANDISING AND DESIGN

TTU CHARTER DAY

For Tennessee Technological University’s

Centennial Year the University hosted the Board of

Regents and other members of the community for TTU

Charter Day celebrations; One of the events was a

Luncheon. The College of Agriculture and Human

Ecology was asked to form a group of students to

decorate the luncheon. As a member of the Decorating

Committee I played a key role in the decorations for

this event.

TTU CHARTER DAY

DISPLAY CASE

As a Merchandising and Design major I

was given the opportunity to create a

display case for the lobby of the

Human Ecology Building. I chose to

use an Oscar de la Renta dress and do a

winter theme.

SEWING PROJECTS

In Apparel Construction

we completed two major

projects. The first was a

medium sized tote bag

and the second was a

pair of pajamas.

SORORITY FORMALS

• During my year as Social Chair for my sorority I

Planned several mixers and two formals which had

approximately 160-180 guests each. These are the

decorations that I chose and used for both of the

formals.

• The first formal was masquerade themed

• The second formal was Winter Wonderland themed.
