Preface When one works in a place one has to come across different postings, responsibilities and transfers. These include physical shifting of seat. On one such occasion, when cleaning up and emptying a previous occupants table, I came across a pack of business cards with that of the previous incumbent’s. I found the reverse of those cards blank and they were fresh. It prompted me to do my doodles on them. I decided to do atleast one sketch or doodle a day. It started in September 26, 2015 and finished on December 20, 2015. In the process I had sent those sketches digitally to a few of my friends. Prem Kumar Manohar is one of them. This young friend had some encouraging words. Obviously Medha and Jayashree were encouraging in addition to many other friends.
These doodles cover different periods – states of mind, different experiences, some inspirations and the motivation to finish those 100 cards in 2015. These doodles are presented two a page with no title or name, though they were named DaybyDay001 to DaybyDay100 and they are sequenced in that order.
I believe this shall be source book for designers from all fields as a reference or source material or may enthuse or ignite them in a positive and creative manner in their fields of design and creation.
The business card is of ivory board and I have used about six varieties of ballpoint pens with blue ink to draw on them. Narayanan Krishnaswamy

Acknowledgments First and foremost to my father who has been a constant
inspiration all my life in almost all the aspects of my life.
This is one of his inspired motivations - to do until rest. This
book owes a lot to those who have faith on me, who
have expectations on me, whose words and deeds have
nurtured me to undertake this venture. Many of them
have offered words of encouragement which have
been duly considered in presenting this. Medha and
Jayashree have always been my unending source of
nourishment for my appetite. Appa and Amma have
stood by me always. Narayanan Krishnaswamy
