With WAREMA sun sails S4 even provide shading for complicated

corner positions. Asymmetrical sails are possible as well. The fixed

single sail model offers just as much convenience as the double

sail solution. The sail can be conveniently controlled by remote con-

trol and retracts automatically in case of strong wind. An attractive

high-performance system featuring a light, modern appearance,

Fixed WAREMA sun sails S1

have a maximum load capac-

ity of 10.4 m/s. This wind

speed corresponds to level

5 on the Beaufort scale, i.e.

small trees in leaf begin to

sway and white horses form

on lakes. Fixed WAREMA sun

sails S1 are designed for sum-

mer use and can be set up for

a few months between May

and August without any prob-

lems.

The movable WAREMA sun

sails S2, S3, and S4 are

designed for a max. wind

load of 7.5 m/s. This corre-

sponds to level 4 on the Beau-

fort scale, i.e. small branches

begin to move, dust and loose

paper raised. To prepare you

for sudden weather changes,

the scope of delivery includes

the WAREMA EWFS Weather

station eco which automati-

cally retracts your sun sail

should the wind load become

too high.

... rain ...

A sun sail is designed as a

shading solution. The occa-

sional shower will not harm the

WAREMA sun sail, it is how-

ever not recommended to use

it for permanent rain protec-

tion.

During light rain the water-

repellent impregnation pre-

vents deformation of the

fabric. If the sun sail has been

retracted when it was wet, it

should be extended again as

soon as possible for drying to

prevent formation of creases.

The minimum angle of incli-

nation of the fabric shaft for

movable sun sails is 14°. If

the angle is lower, the sun sail

may not be extended when

it is raining to prevent water

pooling on the fabric or other

damage.

... and bad weather

Fixed sun sails should be dis-

mantled and stored before

bad weather or when a thun-

derstorm is drawing near.

Movable WAREMA sun sails

have a very slender design

and do not have as many

metal parts. To protect the

retracted fabric on these mod-

els from the influence of the

weather and from soiling (e.g.

during longer periods of bad

weather), a protective cover is

included when you buy a mov-

able WAREMA sun sail. Your

WAREMA sun sail partner can

inform you about possible dis-

mantling and storage of your

sun sail during periods of bad

weather.

Sun ...

On south sides the sun's

rays hit the earth at a steeper

angle than on east sides in the

morning and on west sides in

the afternoon. The seasonal

changes in the position of the

earth's axis also influence the

incidence angle of the sun.

The sun is at its highest point

in summer and at its low-

est point in winter. We there-

fore recommend taking into

account sunlight coming in

from the side when determin-

ing the width of the sun shad-

ing unit, especially on south

and west sides.

Also the projection should be

dimensioned sufficiently large

depending on the orienta-

tion of the area that is to be

shaded.

EWFS, the Standardised WAREMA Radio

System, allows convenient operation of

your sun shading system using the radio

remote control and the EWFS Weather sta-

tion eco with solar drive. It ensures that

your sun sail is always reliably control-

led and is retracted when the wind is too

strong, without any wiring.

Acrylic Standard/Exclusive

These plain-coloured fabrics consist of 100%

branded acrylic fabric and are spinneret

dyed, light-fast, weather-fast and tear-resist-

ant.

Acrylic All Weather

With transparent acrylate coating on the out-

side. The fabric is almost 100 % waterproof.

Acrylic Reflect

With reflecting and waterproof coating on the

outside. The coating gives the fabric a metal-

lic shimmer finish with lower transmission as

well as higher reflection.

Acrylic Perfora

The perforation reduces the accumulation

of heat and the risk of water pooling on the

awning fabric.

Connecting seams

All seams and hems are sewn using excep-

tionally durable PTFE (Teflon) TENARA

thread on state-of-the-art sewing machines.

Finish

Innovative nano-based impregnation pro-

vides the fabrics with enhanced protection

against soiling. Water runs off easily and

washes dirt particles off the surface. The

impregnation is also algae- and mildew-

retardant. The required rigidity of WAREMA

fabrics is achieved through impregnation

with ecological and non-hazardous sub-

stances. All WAREMA fabrics are tested

according to Eco-Tex Standard 100.

Surfaces

Choose a frame colour to match your cho-

sen fabric and your individual living style.

Eight WAREMA structural colours feature a

finely structured finish with a metallic appear-

ance. Apart from the elegant look these

colours offer another advantage: Thanks

to the fine surface structure, water contain-

ing dirt particles rolls off very efficiently. The

exceptional coating quality ensures durability

– independently tested by the Quality Asso-

ciation for the Coating of Building Materials

(GSB). The surface coating complies with the

GSB AL 631 directive.

Your favourite colour

WAREMA offers 250 colours as a standard.

You can adapt all aluminium elements to har-

monise with the colour scheme of facades,

windows, doors, roller shutters or external

venetian blinds. The eight finely structured

metallic colours are ideal for special design

features. These colours do not only look ele-

gant, they are also very easy to care for.
