Readingisanintegralpartofastudent’songoingeducationanddevelopment.Summeristheidealtimetotakeastepawayfromthepressuresoftheschoolyearandtoexplorenewworldsandtopics.Readingteachesusabouttheworldbeyondwhatweexperienceonadailybasis,helpsusdiscovernewinterests,andenhancesourunderstandingofalreadyestablishedinterests.ByreadingthesamebooksasyourLindenHallschoolmatesandteachers,youwillcomebackfromyoursummeradventureswithasharedexperiencethatwewilldiscussandexploretogether.

Thissummer,weaskthatyoureadtwobooks.First,readeithertheMiddleorUpperSchoolcommunitybook,andthenreadoneofthebooksfromthechoicelist.PleasenotethatmostofthebooksdonotspecifyiftheyareforMiddleorUpperSchoolstudents;wewouldlikeyoutochooseabookthatisnewtoyouandisatalevelthatyouarecomfortablereading.
