SITE DESCRIPTION & ANALYSISThe site is bisected by two large transmission easements and is adjacent to an existing tie station and two large transmission easements.

The northern boundary is shared with the Orange County Animal shelter and Chapel Hill Self-Storage. The western boundary is shared with the Orange County Land Fill. The southern boundary is shared with property owned by the Nunns and existing transmission easements. The eastern boundary is shared with Chapel Watch Village and the UNC Railroad spur.

The topography of the site slopes gently (predominately less than 10%) in all directions and is currently wooded by a mixture of young growth pines and some hardwoods. Some small isolated areas of 10% to 15% exist along the railroad and access drive ditches.
