Universidad del Centro Educativo Latinoamericano (UCEL)
UCEL• One of the leading universities in the city and the only one based in Rosario.
• This civil non-profit organization was set up in Rosario in 1875 under the tutorship of Louise Denning and Jennie Chapin. These young Methodist missionary teachers took the challenge from President Domingo Faustino Sarmiento to open the North American School, now called the Latin American Educational Center.
• Over the years, their initiative was taken over by people sharing their
educational zest and conviction.
• Its Faculty is recruited in terms of expertise, research, professional development goals, as well as overall experience in the field. All staff members have been urged to pursue graduate studies and an institutional support scheme was devised to this end.
