2.1Different people, different stress

Different characters

• Different people have different “characteristics” or “character traits”

• If we didn’t, everyone would behave in exactly the same way!

• What characteristics can you think of?

Type A or Type B?

• Most of us are a bit of both

• Let’s find out which you are!

So?

• If you scored highly on the Type A quiz, you are more likely to suffer stress

• So you need to take even more care of yourself

Introvert or extrovert?

• What do you think they mean?

Introvert or extrovert

• Being introvert or extrovert is NOT about shyness

• It’s about where you get your energy from

• Let’s see how you score!

So?

• Introverts NEED more time on their own

• Otherwise they will suffer from stress more

Are you stressy?

Different lives

• Something that might cause you stress is called a “stressor”

• There can be stressors in our homes, our friendships, our communities, our health

Imagine someone

• Make up a character with lots of stress

• It can be someone living in a very different country from ours, or just the same.

• What do they feel when they wake up?• Do they spend a lot of time worrying?• Is it hard for them to focus on work?

What stressors can you see here?
