1. HOD, IT welcomed the Alumni to the meet. HOD, IT presented the departmental Power

Point highlighting the Placements, transition from affiliated system to autonomous system and finally CBCS.

2. HOD IT explained in detail about the new scheme of instruction which was developed under CBCS.

3. All the alumni expressed their happiness upon hearing about CBCS system. They were also eager to contribute their part in suggesting framing the curriculum, etc.

4. Few alumni suggested that students can follow Agile methodologies such as as SCRUM for doing their Mini Project.

5. They suggested that laboratories such as Deep Learning Lab can be introduced for doing practicals for Artificial Intelligence course.

6. Alumni suggested that students may do mini projects or main projects for some NGOs which require to digitize a part of their work.

7. Upon HOD, IT s request Few Alumni Shared their experiences in the college during their study.

8. HOD It requested the Alumni to contribute to the department through Various activities such as Guiding Mini Projects, Providing Internships, Guest Lectures, etc,. Some of the alumni Responded to HODs request.

9. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by Departmental Alumni Coordinator Group Photo and Lunch.

Program Outcomes (POs) for IT Programme

Engineering Graduates will be able to:

1. Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineeringfundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.

2. Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complexengineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics,natural sciences, and engineering sciences.

3. Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems anddesign system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriateconsideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmentalconsiderations.

4. Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and researchmethods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of theinformation to provide valid conclusions.

5. Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modernengineering and IT tools including prediction and modelling to complex engineering activitieswith an understanding of the limitations.

Institute Achievements:•The college was awarded ‘Half Yearly Best Performance Nodal CenterAward’ from Virtual Labs, IIIT, Hyderabad for the period June-December, 2018 forconsistent effort and dedication to spread the usage of labs which has exceeded thetarget. Dr. K. Ram Mohan Rao, Assoc. Prof. & HoD, IT (The Nodal Coordinator)was congratulated for his efforts for coordinating and ensuring good use of VirtualLabs in the college.

II. Department Achievements:•A New Deep Learning Lab has been sanctioned as part of AICTE MODROBswith a budget of Rs. 19.31 Lakhs.

III. Faculty Achievements:•Mr. K. Shyam Sunder Reddy, Asst. Prof., Dept. of IT completed his Ph.D. in theFaculty of Computer Science & Engineering from JNT University, Ananthapuramufor the Thesis entitled ‘Effective Density-Based Clustering Methods for StreamingData’.

CSE, ACE Engineering College on 03.11.2018. Also a Cash prize of Rs. 7000/- was

awarded along with certificate of Merit.

•Mr. M Abhijith Chandra [1602-15-737-001] qualified for Hyderabad Best Coder Being

Zero for Finals held at JNTUH CEH, CSE Department on 10.03.2018 and in finals he got

6th position in HBC being Zero contest.Extra Curricular Activities (Sports)
