Luxurious ride on offe
with new naughty M4THE M4 and its folding hard-toproof makeup thereplace-ment for the old M3 Convert-ible.
The new number is part ofBMWs efforts to separateits four and two-door cars, which now wear odd andeven numbers r espectively.
The old M3s eight-cylinderV8 engine has been down-sized to a mere 3.0 litres, but its now turbocharged toreach even headier perfor-mance figures.
BMW says their task, inline with customer feedback, was to make the M4 Convert-ible lighter, more efficientand more aggressive.
The M4 certainly makes a
more dramatic entrance. Itsdimensions, especially itswidth, boost its road pres-ence close to that of olderM5s, but it does make thenew model something of ahandful on narrower roads.
There are a few small spac-es for bits and pieces in thecabin, and if youre aimingto use those rear seats youllbe surprised by the long bas-es that give good under-thighsupport. Theres actuallymore there than you think.
Theres quite a lot of extraweight on board in the guiseof chassis strengthening tocompensate for the loss ofthe roof, it translates into aslight reduction in the M4
Coupes explosive perfor-mance.
In corners its hugely com-posed thanks to very welltuned suspension and wide, grippy tyres. Most driversare unlikely to find them-selves reaching its limits ofadhesion very often.
Withoutany optionalextrasthe M4 stands alone in termsof its breadth of capabilitiesfor the price. This one hasthousands of pounds worthof extras and pokes its noseinto some exotic territory. Itoffers its best value with asfew options as possible.
Those who love their per-formance cars but also wanta weekend toy practical

THIS summer has not been itstraditional quieter period, infact for Besley Hill Town &Country Homes, this August,
just gone, has been the bestAugust sales month across allprice ranges since we opened
our doors back in 2005.This fact compliments our
view that the traditional homeselling seasons appear to havebeen replaced more and morethese days by the influence ofeconomic conditions andminor fluctuations in the mort-gage market.
Stable, sustained increasesin the housing market priceswill help it remain healthy forthe benefit of all. September is
again looking promising in allrespects.
With such a variety of homesin the Stroud Valley to choosefrom, viewers often view highnumbers of properties beforemaking an offer on the right
one for them. Some buyers watch the mar-
ket for some time, have clearrequirements and are exactingabout their top offers. Othersare very careful about whatthey want to afford and bothapproaches can lead to home-owners needing to trust theadvice given by their agent asto whether to take the offer ornot. This is best gained byreceiving useful and regular
feedback promptly after allviewings.
This is why we at Besley Hillare hot on beneficial feedback.
With large numbers returningfrom summer holidays, we areexpecting increasing numbers
of homes coming to the mar-ket to match the still largenumbers of home seekersalready out there.
Prices are still gently risingas a result despite this tradi-tional holiday month.
This point is echoed byNationwides latest report.Commenting on the figuresRobert Gardner, NationwidesChief Economist, said: UKhouse prices edged up by 0.8
per cent in August, markingthe sixteenth successivemonthly price rise. As a result, the annual pace of house pricegrowth is up to 11 per centfrom 10.6 per cent in July.
For most sellers it is not now
about whether they are able tosell in todays market ratherhow much for.
This decision has to be bal-anced against not dismissing agood offer on the table andthereby looking a potentialgift horse in the mouth.
If you need a market apprais-al on your home; remember tophone Besley Hill Town &Country Homes on 01453764912.

Your property problems solved...Q: I HAVE now decided Iwould like to sell my prop-erty, but what questionsshould I ask my EstateAgent before committingmyself to one?
A:Whenmovingit isimperative thatyou picktheright estate agent. You want

Thefirst question youshould askis whethertheyarea memberof anyombudsmanschemes. In theUK thereare no compulsori-ly legislative regulationschemes and hence member-shipto a bodysuch astheNAEA (National Associationof EstateAgents)or theOEA(Ombudsmanof EstateAgents)is essential.Thesetypesof organisationsensure theirmembersfollowstrict guidelinesand havecomprehensivecomplaints

Askyourestateagenttheprices of similar houses inthearea. Anyagent worththeirsalt will be able toanswerthisquestion ina

Askhow yourpropertywillbe marketed; websites areincreasingly beingused intheindustryand to maxim-isethechance of a sale, online marketingis essen-tial.The oldermethods oflocal newspaper advertisingarestill worthwhile butfind-ingan estateagent who is up
