Digicel Cup Competition based
on points.
Coach Stanley Tepend believes
that his team of young players
have what it takes to take them
all the way to finals.
With the inclusion former Ku-
muls and Hunters second rower
on board the team, David Loko
ahs led by example by leading in
the try assists and line breaks.
Lae Snax Tigers is a Rugby
League Team that participates in
the Digicel cup in Papua New
Guinea. It has made its debut
into the Digicel Cup Competi-
tion early 2011. With its home
grown players from mostly Lae
area, it has looked to produce
potential representative players
to play for the Papua New
Guinea national team, the KU-
MULS and Hunters.
With the inclusion of their own
Tigerines and Mascot, it is the
first team ever in the history of
Papua New Guinea Rugby
League to have it. This has thus
brought a new level of enter-
tainment to the game itself. And
also, attracting more people to
come watch the game and enjoy
the entertainment.
It is promised that 2015 will be
the year of the Snax Tigers. The
coaching Staff have brought in
the team earlier this year to
train in advance before the
Digicel Cup kicks off.
They are very confident that the
breed of young talented players
can take the team all the way to
the finals and even possible,
winning the GRAND FINAL.
So far Tigers have started 2015
fresh with already having
achieved two wins under their
name. They currently lead the
In 2011, Lae Biscuit Company
became a Franchise owner of
Lae Snax Tigers. With its inclu-
sion of cheerleaders, its own
mascot and the promotional
team, it has taken the Rugby
League venture in Papua New
Guinea to a whole new different
level.
There are also several business
firms that lend a hand in Spon-
soring the Lae Snax Tigers. They
are Flame, Seeto Kui, 100 Plus
Logo, Coastal Shipping, Golden
Rooster, Hakau Investment,
Marshall Logistics, Neptune
Fishery and Prima Small Goods
