Transcript of SMM for the Real Estate Industry

People don't go on Facebook or Twitter to find a home.

But buyers will tend to look on real estate websites like Lamudi or My Property.

Oversharing or "spamming" listings on social media is a sure way to be

unfollowed or unliked.

Without an established following, friends or circles, social shares will not reach anyone.

A social media marketing strategy is much more than just

sharing.

The reality is paying for sponsored social media posts can be a great way to reach

your potential buyers, just make sure that this is what is really happening.

Remember, getting in front of the right people no matter how few, is

more important than getting in front of thousands or millions that

don't.

Remember social media marketing is about pull and not push.

Build relationships - Social media is about building relationships with

people who you can either do business with or help your business grow. The

best way to make social media work is to be social.

Look for interest and provide value - Listen to what people are interested in hearing about, look for the important

questions and answers, you have to give them value before asking for their money.

Stop Spamming - Provide some helpful information,

and not just listings.
