Rosary Coast-to-Coast In 2017, the Church in Poland gathered around the borders of their country to light a spiritual flame, a flame that quickly engulfed the nation in prayer and reparation. Shortly after, the sparks from this conflagration of the Holy Spirit spread, to Ireland, the British Isles and now, the United States. This is a WORLD WIDE EFFORT to combat the Powers of Darkness—the Powers that seek to stifle the Light. The Rosary will be prayed across the nation on October 7th at 4PM ET The Living Rosary will be prayed at St. Peter Parish on Oct. 7th at 4PM For further information please contact Marsha Maslanka 616.558.4757 or email at marshamaslanka@gmail.com
Sunday, October 7 at 10:30am
We will have a Blue Mass to bless those employed or who volunteer in the public safety field (i.e. police officers, firefighters, correctional officers, and EMS personnel). We pray for those in law enforcement and fire safety, remember those who have fallen, and support those who serve. If you would like to participate, please contact Alisha, alisha.giles@stpeter-douglas.org.
Mass for the Reparation and Healing of the Church
Bishop Bradley will celebrate a diocesan Mass for the Reparation and Healing of the Church
on Sunday, September 30th at 3 p.m. at St. Augustine Cathedral, Kalamazoo. At this critically important moment in the life of our Church we are called to come together in prayer and devote our time for the intentions of the con-tinued healing of all victims of abuse and for the ongoing healing and reparation of our Church and also for inspira-tion guided by the Holy Spirit that we will be lead in new directions for the good of all.
A Pastoral Discussion will be held after the Mass for all those who wish to stay and participate.
LIVE THE LITURGY INSPIRATION FOR THE WEEK
Humility is really a virtue that allows us to keep our rela-tionships in proper order: God first, others second, and myself third. However, we all wrestle with our incomplete-ness, weakness, and imperfections. Passions and im-pulses from within can color how we view our lives and distort them. Who among us does not struggle with jeal-ousy, envy, pride, and lust? Then, when we can't have what we desire, we find ourselves angry, greedy, and taking more than we deserve. The downward spiral con-tinues. Even Jesus' disciples, who knew him better than most, argued about who was the greatest. Humbly seek-ing the wisdom that comes from God and His righteous-ness is the corrective we need in order to keep ourselves in check.

ST. PETER PARISH SAN FELIPE DE JESÚS
View this bulletin online at www.parishesonline.com
Good morning,
As you read this bulletin, I am in Grapevine, TX,
participating in the National Phase of the V Encuentro.
We are around 3000+ Catholics from all over the coun-
try, representing every diocese in the country. This pas-
toral process was convened, by the US Bishops four
years ago, in the context of the New Evangelization,
and they want to emphasize the importance of involving
young, second and third generation Hispanics/Latinos
in the church life at every level. “Missionary Disciple-
ship” is its central theme, which defines the spirituality
of this Pastoral Process.
This Journey is one of discovery and affirmation. It is
like the one that Jesus is leading His disciples in today’s
gospel. He teaches them and us, how to serve each
other: “If anyone wishes to be first, he shall be the last
of all and the servant of all.”
Who is the greatest? Along the centuries we have taken
paths that led us to decisions and options that not
always are beneficial for humankind. So, Who would be
the greatest among the disciples? Jesus calls us to
seek the greatness through generosity, being the first
among our families, friends and communities by taking
on the spirit and role of being their servant.
As we recognize that, and I am the first to do it, I want
to thank those who serve our parish community in many
ways, known and unknown. With great dedication, they
serve us in many ways.
I want to thank the 16 or more people involved in the
New Approach of the Faith Formation Program. Their
ministry as Catechists, Assistants, Tender Hearts, etc.,
is so valuable. Your service to our children, young peo-
ple and Adults, help all of us to learn about the One
who called us to follow Him in service. Thanks and God
Bless you.
I also want to thank every one of you, dear parishioners
for your comprehension and help, as I renew my
commitment to exercise a Servant Leadership Ministry,
as your pastor.
May God bless you. May Saint Peter’s intercession gain
you God’s blessings.
Fr. Fabio
Prayer for the Fifth National Encuentro of Hispanic/Latino Ministry
God of infinite Mercy, You sent your Risen Son to encounter the disciples on the
way to Emmaus. Grant us today a missionary spirit and send us forth to encounter our sisters and brothers: to
walk with them in friendship, to listen to their hopes and dreams with compassion, and to proclaim your Word with
courage, so that they might come to know you once again in the breaking of the Bread.
Make us all missionary disciples, and stay with us always,
as we seek to share the joy of the Gospel with people of all generations, from every race,
language, culture, and nation. We ask you this with burning hearts, filled with the Holy
Spirit, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, and through the loving intercession of our
Blessed Mother Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Star of the New Evangelization in the Americas.
Amen.
Thank you for your generous support of the collection for the Catholic Campaign for Human Development. As a parish we raised $973 to support those living in poverty in the US.

De Parte del Padre Fabio
Les escribo desde Grapevine, TX. Estamos
-P. Fabio
