Segundo Barrio Futbol Club was formed in the summer of 2011
Its goal is to seek to promote the participation and development of youth soccer players and youth soccer teams in El Paso's Segundo Barrio neighborhood
This past season we had almost 50 boys and girls registered to play
The majority of our players are from low income families and considered ‘at risk’
For most of our players the soccer team is their only opportunity to play organized sports
For the Fall Season 2012 we entered four teams in the Paso Del Norte soccer league
Under 8sUnder 11s (two)Under 12s
Under 8s
Under 11 White
Under 11 Black
Under 12s
We offer our players a high quality soccer academy environment
Our coaches are licensed with the United States Soccer Federation (USSF)
Our teams compete with other soccer teams throughout the city
It costs $300 to cover the expenses of one players for one year
This covers registration, uniform, and equipment
We ask parents to help out with cleats, transportation, and snacks for the games
We keep our expenses to a minimum
All of our coaches are volunteers
We have no paid staff
We ask parents to help out as much as possible with equipment, transportation, and snacks
Most of our players are students at Aoy, La Fe, Hart, and Guillen
To be on the team they must maintain good grades, attendance, and behavior in school
Thank you for being a part of Segundo Barrio Futbol Club!
We would not be able to operate without your generous support!
