Good morning, fellow teachers and pupils. I am Mr Lee , the science teacher. I am happy to be here today to give a speech on the topic ‘ The Importance of Healthy Eating’.
Food is made up of proteins, fats, vitamins and carbohydrates. Proteins help to make our bodies fit and build up our muscles. Food like fish, eggs and chicken has a lot of proteins. Vegetarians who do not eat meat or see food get their supply of proteins from milk, cereal and beans.
Our bodies need carbohydrates to give us energy. Examples of food rich in carbohydrates are bread, rice and potatoes. We must eat a lot vegetables and fruits. The supply us vitamins and minerals. So, we should eat in a healthy manner. This means eating meals that are balanced. They should contain the necessary proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals.
I hope you find my speech useful. Thank you for listening.
