If the Insured is hospitalised during the Trip and is medically necessary to transfer to a better medical facility to continue treatment, we will pay for reasonable transportation cost of one qualified medical attendant.

Upon payment of the premiums and issuance of the Policy, We agree to provide insurance coverage to the Insured Person against loss covered as
set out in this Policy subject always to the terms, conditions and exclusions contained in the Policy.
Policy Definitions
Accident refers to an event causing Bodily Injury
due to violent, external and visible means.
Air Ticket An electronic acknowledgement
generated upon an internet purchase
which is entitled “Itinerary” for Your
journey issued by a licensed commercial
aircraft. Such journey must originate from
Malaysia.
Annual Plan A Policy for multiple Trips over the period
of insurance up to 60 consecutive days
From the Time of departure to the date
of return to Malaysia.
AAN AAN shall mean Asia Assistance Network
(M) Sdn Bhd who is a third party
administrator and assistance service
provider who shall assist Us on the
business and management of call centre
services, including medical, non- medical
and emergency related services.
Bodily injury Injury or death suffered by the Insured
Person caused solely by Accident.
Certificate of Insurance
refers to the electronic confirmation of

Curtailment Curtailed return to Malaysia from the
Trip.
Domestic Cover Travel within Malaysia.
Epidemic A sudden severe outbreak of disease
that spreads rapidly and affects, within
a very short period, an inordinately
large number of people within a
geographical region. For example, SARS
/ Swine Flu (H1N1) / Bird Flu.

Extreme Sports and activities
Any activity that involves a high level of
expertise, exceptional physical exertion,
highly specialized gear or stunts and
involves exposure to risk including but not
limited to big wave surfing, canoeing down
rapids, cliff jumping, horse jumping, ultra-
marathons and stunt riding.
Family Means your legal spouse and Child /
Children insured under the same Policy.
First Departure Date Means departure date from Malaysia as
shown on the Insured Person’s Air Ticket
Foreign War Means armed opposition.
Hospital Means a registered medical institution
operated pursuant to law for the care
treatment of sick or injured persons with
organized or arranged facilities for
medical treatment and having 24- Hour
nursing facilities. This shall not include any
institution for the aged, chronically ill or
convalescent, resting or nursing homes.
Home The usual place Insured Person(s)
resides in Malaysia.
Home Contents Household furniture, fixtures, fittings and
furnishings, clothing and personal items of
the Insured Person or to his/her Family or
domestic servants permanently residing
with him/her excluding antiques,
artefacts, paintings, objects of art or
intrinsic value, manuscripts, financial
securities of any kind, money, stamps,
travel document, credit cards, bonds,
coupons, negotiable instruments, title
deeds, driving license and identity cards.
Immediate Family Member
An Insured Person’s:-
(i) Legal Spouse;
(ii) Children (biological and/or
adopted);
(iii) Children-In Law;
(iv) Siblings;
(v) Parents;
(vi) Parents-In-Law;
(vii) Grandparents;
all of whom residing in Malaysia.
Insured Person/You
/Your
Any person who is insured under this Policy.
Loss of Limb Loss by physical severance of a hand at or above the wrist or of a foot at or above the ankle.
Loss of Sight Total and irrecoverable loss of sight.
Mountain Sickness A physiological change and pathological effect of high altitude on humans, caused by acute exposure to low partial pressure of oxygen at high altitude.
Pandemic refers to an outbreak of infectious disease. Infectious or contagious disease means any disease capable of being transmitted from an infected person, animal or species by any means.
Period of Insurance shall mean the duration of the policy as
stated in the policy schedule or
certificate of insurance.
Physician A properly qualified doctor or medical
practitioner licensed by the medical
authorities of the country in which
treatment is provided and who is
practicing within the scope of his/ her
license and training.
Policy This contract, endorsement, schedules,
Certificate of Insurance and/or any other
documents that we may rely on for this
Policy.

Pre-Existing Condition
Any Sickness, disease or other medical
condition of the Insured Person or an
Immediate Family Member which had
arisen within 120 days prior to the
effective date or issuance of the Policy.
This includes any symptom that was
present or known which worsened for
which an ordinarily prudent person will
seek diagnosis, care or treatment; or for an
illness which the Insured Person is already
under treatment or a treatment has been
recommended by a Physician.
Property Irregularity Report
A report produced by the Common Carrier
and/or the airlines stating the cause and
extent of loss.
Reasonable and Customary Charges
The usual expenses which is charged for
medical/Hospital treatment, supplies or
services medically necessary to treat the
Insured Person’s condition
Scheduled Time Time provided on Air Ticket; or New
departure Time which an airline operator
had advised the Insured Person not less
than 24 hours from the original scheduled
Time of flight.
Serious Illness Whenever applied to the Insured
Person(s) it shall mean Sickness certified
as being life threatening and requiring
immediate treatment by a Physician and
which results in the Insured Person(s)
being certified by that Physician as unfit to
travel or to continue with his/her original
flight.
Sickness/ Illness Means any noticeable change in the
physical health of an Insured Person that
requires the care of a Physician acting
within the scope of his/her license to treat
the Sickness and the nature of the Illness is
not excluded from this present policy.
Theft refers to permanent loss or damage of
personal property or belongings by an
unknown third party where:
(i) there is physical evidence of a break-
in of a premise where they are kept
during the Trip, or
they are taken without Your consent,
whether forcibly or otherwise.
Time Any reference to a Time or a date in the
Policy context or in the context of a
coverage period refers to Malaysian
Time.
Total Permanent Disability
Injury which, having lasted for a
continuous period of twelve (12)
calendar months from the date of
Accident, entirely prevents the Insured
Person from engaging in gainful
employment of any and every kind and
for which there is no hope of recovery.
Trip The journey commencing from the Time
the Insured Person leaves his/her place
of residence or business, for the direct
travel journey to the intended
destination which shall not exceed 24
hours prior to booked departure Time
and cease on whichever occurs first: -
a) The expiry of the period of
insurance specified in the
Certificate of Insurance
b) The Insured Person’s return to the
place of residence or business
(Whichever is earlier) in Malaysia
c) Twenty-four (24) hours after arrival
in Malaysia (Not applicable for
travel within Malaysia).

POLICY BENEFITS SECTION 2 - TRAVEL INCONVENIENCE BENEFIT
SECTION 1 - DEATH AND TOTAL PERMANENT DISABILITY
YOU CAN CLAIM if:
(i) An Accident happens to the Insured Person during
the Trip, and
(ii) The Insured Person suffers Bodily Injury resulting in death
and/or Total Permanent Disability
WE WILL PAY up to a maximum 100% for the following Events:
(i) Accidental Death
(ii) Total and irrecoverable loss of sight of an eye or both eyes
(iii) Permanent loss of use of one or both limbs
(iv) Total and irrecoverable loss of sight of one eye and loss
of use of one limb
(v) Total Permanent Disability, other than loss of sight
or limb
CONDITIONS:
Such death or Total Permanent Disability occurs within 180
calendar days immediately after the date of Accident.
COVID-19 BEREAVEMENT ALLOWANCE
We will pay a lump sum of RM5,000 to the Insured Person’s legal
representative in the event the Insured Person contracts COVID-19
during the Trip resulting in :
i) death during the Trip; or
ii) death within the first thirty (30) days upon returning
from the Trip.
Exposure and Disappearance Extension following an Accident
(i) Exposure Extension - Covers the Insured Person for any
unavoidable exposure of death or Total Permanent
Disability under this Policy
(ii) Disappearance Extension - If the remains of the Insured
Person has not been found within one (1) year from the
time of an Accident, it will be presumed that the Insured
Person is no longer alive and We will pay death benefit
under this Policy. However, if subsequently after payment
the Insured Person is found to be alive, the person to whom
the death benefit is paid shall refund to Us such sum.
SECTION 2 (a) – TRIP CANCELLATION SECTION 2 (b) – TRIP CURTAILMENT
YOU CAN CLAIM for the costs of necessary and unavoidable
cancellation of air-ticket, hotel, tours or car rental, and prepaid
admission tickets arising from causes beyond control occurring to
the Insured Person, their Immediate Family Members or Travel
Companion within 14 days prior to original scheduled departure
from Malaysia as stated in the Policy, or if the Insured Person is
necessarily and unavoidably prevented from continuing the Trip and
has to return to Malaysia, which is as a result of: -
1) a disability to the above persons resulting in:
(i) death;
(ii) Total Permanent Disability; or
(iii) an admission as an in-patient in a Hospital where such
admission is medically necessary;
2) a fire or natural disaster resulting in serious damage to the
Insured Person’s place of residence in Malaysia or destination
of planned trip
3) any unexpected event, excluding strike, which:
(i) leads to widespread violence;
(ii) is not due to reasons for purposes of asserting sovereign
rights and/or operating on behalf of a sovereign state;
(iii) puts your life in danger; and/or
(iv) following the advice and/or warning of the Malaysian
government or the government of the destination
country declaring unsafe conditions for travel through or
by general mass media;
(v) natural disasters including but not limited to volcanic
eruption, flood, earthquake, tsunami, hurricane or
wildfire occurring at destination of planned Trip.
Section 2(a) – Trip Cancellation is applicable, where You
and/or Your Immediate Family are tested positive for COVID-
19 prior to First Departure Date of the scheduled trip.
WE WILL PAY reasonable and necessary travel and accommodation expenses which have been paid in advance
and/or not recoverable from any relevant parties.

CONDITIONS: (vi) the events should occur within 14 days prior to the
original Scheduled Time of departure from Malaysia as stated in the Policy.
(vii) such claims due to strike and natural disasters should
be made against relevant parties prior to us making any
payment under this benefit. Such claims must be
submitted with proof of compensation received from
these relevant parties or if such compensation is denied,
proof of such denial.
(viii) This Policy will only pay for one claim made either under Section 2 (a) for Trip Cancellation or Section 2 (b)
for Trip Curtailment as stated in the Schedule of
Benefits.
(ix) General Exclusions apply.
WE DO NOT PAY:
(a) For any loss caused by:
i. criminal acts committed by the Insured Person;
ii. war, riot, popular movements, terrorist acts;
iii. Pre-existing Conditions;
iv. any effect of a source of radioactivity;
v. pollution; vi. Epidemics subject to exception specified in Section 2
(a) Trip Cancellation;
vii. Pandemic subject to exception specified in Section 2 (a) Tripl Cancellation;
viii. bankruptcy;
ix. climatic events such as lack of snow, etc.;
x. for any loss, which is compensated by the airline
operator
(b) Claims arising directly or indirectly from, in
respect of, or due to:
(i) Government regulation or Act, delay or amendment
of the booked Trip (excluding error, omission or
default) by the provider of any service forming part of
the booked Trip as well as the travel agent or tour
operator through whom the Trip was booked.
(ii) Bankruptcy, insolvency, liquidation or default of travel agencies or Common Carrier.
(iii) Your business, financial or contractual obligation or those of your travelling companion.
(iv) Your reluctance to travel or financial circumstances.
A result of unlawful act or criminal proceedings of any
person on whom the booked Trip depends other than
attendance in a Court of Law is legally required.
SECTION 2 (c) – BAGGAGE & PERSONAL EFFECTS
SECTION 2 (c) (i) – LOSS / DAMAGE TO BAGGAGE &
PERSONAL EFFECTS
YOU CAN CLAIM for events due to:
(i) a Theft or damage due to a Theft or an attempted Theft;
(ii) loss or damage to the Insured Person’s baggage, clothing and
personal items, whether checked in or hand carried, caused
by an airline operator or Common Carrier.
WE WILL PAY at our sole discretion, whichever is the lesser in cash
value, any one of the following options:
(i) original cash value of the items less depreciation; or
(ii) cost of replacement of a similar make and model; or
(iii) cost of repair of the items,
Note: Where any item consists of items in a set, We shall not be liable
to pay more than the proportionate value of any part(s) which may be
lost, without reference to any special value which such item may have
as a part of such set. We may at our discretion elect to either repair or
replace or restore any part or the set to its value before the loss or pay
the difference between the cash value of the loss or damage of
covered luggage and personal items before and after the loss. All
jewellery, articles trimmed with or made mostly of fur, portable
photographic, cinematographic, computer or telephone equipment,
equipment for the recording of sound or pictures and its accessories,
are only covered against Theft if such item or equipment are physically
carried along personally by the Insured Person during the Trip, and not
checked in.
CONDITIONS:
(i) These items must travel together with the Insured Person during
the Trip.
(ii) General Exclusions apply.
WE DO NOT PAY
(a) For 1. Animals. 2. Automobiles and automobile equipment, trailers and
caravans, boats and other means of transport equipment.
3. contraband or illegal goods. 4. documents, identity papers, credit and payment cards,
transport tickets, cash, stocks and securities.
5. equipment for professional use. 6. eye glasses, contact lenses, hearing aids, prosthetic
limbs, artificial teeth or dental bridges.

10. Keys.
11. musical instruments, objects of art, antiques,
collector’s items, furniture, sculptures.
12. traditional herbs, perishables and
consumables.
13. ski sets, bicycles, sailboards, golf clubs, tennis rackets
and other sporting equipment.
Note: Golf Clubs – This exclusion is not applicable for Worldwide
Travel Plan.
(b) Any loss or damage resulting from: -
1. fragile items including but not limited to
cameras, musical instruments, radios and such
similar property.
2. confiscation or requisition by order of any
governing authority.
3. criminal acts.
4. gradual deterioration or fair wear and tear.
5. insects or vermin.
6. inherent vice or damage.
7. mysterious disappearance.
8. transportation of contraband or illegal trade.
9. seizure whether for destruction under
quarantine or custom regulation or not.
(c) Any loss of or damage to property which, at the Time of
the happening of such loss or damage, is insured by or
would, but for the existence of this Insurance, be
insured by any other insurance policy or policies, or
otherwise reimbursed/replaced by the airline operator.
Section 2 (c) (ii) Baggage Delay
YOU CAN CLAIM for every six (6) consecutive hours whereby Your
checked-in baggage is delayed, misdirected or temporarily
misplaced by the airline operator the Time of their arrival at the
scheduled destination abroad till the Time the Insured Person
received their baggage.
WE WILL PAY RM 200 for every six (6) consecutive hours of delay
up to the limit stated in the Schedule of Benefits.
CONDITION(S):
(a) This Policy will only pay for one claim made either under
Section 2 (c) (i) or Section 2 (c) (ii) above.
(b) General Exclusions apply.
WE DO NOT PAY for:
1. Baggage delay not immediately reported to the airline
operator.
2. Confiscation or detention by customs immigration and/or
public authorities.
3. Baggage delay on your return journey to Malaysia.
4. Your failure to obtain a written confirmation from the
carriers or their handling agents on the actual date and Time
of baggage delivery.
SECTION 2 (d) – LOSS OF PERSONAL MONEY
SECTION 2 (e) – LOSS OF TRAVEL DOCUMENT
YOU CAN CLAIM for actual loss of cash, bank or currency notes,
travelers cheques, postal or money orders under Section 2(d), or loss
of travel document under Section 2(e) due to Theft during the Trip.
WE WILL PAY the Insured Person up to the limit as specified in Section
2(d) for Loss of Personal Money in the Schedule of Benefits.
WE WILL PAY and reimburse the Insured Person up to the limit
stated in Section 2(e) for Loss of Travel Document in the Schedule
of Benefits and shall reimburse the reasonable and necessary
expenses for
(i) replacement of such passport and/or visa;
(ii) communication;
(iii) meals and/or accommodation; and
(iv) travel at the place of loss; of which are incurred for the
purpose of obtaining replacement passports, travel tickets
and other relevant travel documents.
CONDITIONS
(i) The lost items are within the Insured Person’s
control or custody at all Times; and
a) the loss must be due to Theft
b) the items must not be left unattended; and
c) such loss is reported to the police having jurisdiction at
the place of loss immediately but in no case, be later
than 24 hours after the incident. Any claim must be
accompanied by written documentation from the Police.

WE DO NOT PAY
(i) for any loss of cash, bank or currency notes, travelers
cheques, postal or money orders kept in the check-in
luggage with a Common Carrier.
(ii) for claims in respect of:
a) Loss or damage arising from delay or confiscation or
detention by Customs or other Officials.
b) Loss or damage whilst in the custody of an airline or
other carrier, unless reported immediately on discovery
and in the case of airline a Property Irregularity Report is
obtained. A claim must be made against the carriers and
other relevant authorities.
c) Loss not reported to the police within 24 hours and
report not obtained at the place of loss.
d) Loss or Theft of property left unattended in a Public Place
or in an unattended vehicle or as a result of your failure
to take due care and precautions for the safeguard and
security of such property.
(iii) Loss or damage to property otherwise reimbursed by a
Common Carrier or a hotel.
SECTION 2 (f) – AIRASIA ON TIME GUARANTEE
YOU CAN CLAIM
RM200 only if Your Scheduled Flight is delayed for at least 2
consecutive hours from the original scheduled time printed in
Your itinerary or any new departure time which AirAsia has
advised You, not less than twenty- four (24) hours from the
original scheduled time of flight departure on the flight itinerary.
CONDITION
The delay shall be calculated from the original scheduled time until
the commencement of the first available alternative flight offered
by AirAsia.
WE DO NOT PAY For loss, directly or indirectly due to: -
(a) any illegal or unlawful intentional act by You.
(b) any breach of government regulation or any failure to avoid a
claim under the Policy following the warning of any intended
strike, riot or civil commotion through mass media. (c) Your failure to check in according to the itinerary. (d) Your failure to board the next available flight offered by AirAsia.
(e) airport closure, airport curfew, strike, air traffic flow
management restrictions or industrial action of other
companies/carrier already in existence on the date of the
Scheduled Flight.
(f) any prohibition or regulations by any government
authority.
(g) You are not fit to travel or is travelling against the medical
advice of a Physician.
(h) any rescheduling or delay which You have been made aware of
twenty-four (24) hours prior to the First Scheduled Departure
Time in the travel itinerary.
(i) any travel insurance purchased within four (4) hours from the
First Scheduled Departure Time.
SECTION 2 (g) – TRAVEL DELAY
YOU CAN CLAIM If the departure of the scheduled public conveyance
in which the Insured Person has arranged to travel is delayed from
the Time specified in the Common Carrier Ticket.
WE WILL PAY RM200 for every six (6) consecutive hours of delay up to the limit stated in the Schedule of Benefits.
CONDITIONS
(i) The delay must be verified in writing by the operator(s) of the
Common Carrier or their handling agent(s) on the number of
hours delayed.
(ii) If the Insured Person is entitled to a refund of all or part of such
expenses from another source, We will only be liable for the
excess of the amount recoverable from such other source.
(iii) General Exclusions Apply.
WE DO NOT PAY We will not pay for claims arising directly or indirectly from, in
respect of, or due to:
1. The Insured Person for failure to check in according to the Air
Ticket or failure to obtain a written confirmation from the
Common Carriers or their handling agents of the number of
hours of delay
2. Strike, riot or industrial action 3. Late arrival of the Insured Person at the Carrier Terminal after
check-in Time.
SECTION 2 (h) – MISSED FLIGHT CONNECTION
YOU CAN CLAIM if the confirmed onward connecting scheduled
Common Carrier is missed at the transfer point due to the late
arrival of Your incoming confirmed connecting scheduled
Common Carrier, and no alternative onward transportation
is made available to You within six (6) hours of the actual
arrival time of Your incoming Common Carrier.
WE WILL PAY up to RM300 aggregate for Worldwide Travel
and up to RM200 aggregate for Domestic Plan.

CONDITIONS (i) Missed Flight Connection details to be obtained by You
must be verified in writing by the operator(s) of the
Common Carrier or their handling agent(s).
(ii) General Exclusions Apply.
SECTION (i) – TRAVEL REROUTE
WE WILL PAY
RM150 only for every 6 consecutive hours of delay thereafter
up to the maximum limit in the Summary of Benefits.
CONDITIONS
1. If Your original scheduled time of arrival is delayed for at least 6
consecutive hours due to rerouting of the Scheduled Flight, due
to strike/industrial action, adverse weather conditions,
mechanical breakdown or life-threatening medical reason.
2. The delay shall be calculated from the original scheduled arrival
time of the Scheduled Flight until the actual arrival time offered
by Airline.
3. A letter from Airline or its handling agents confirming the
duration and reason of such delay.
WE DO NOT PAY for any loss due to:- (a) delay in arrival at the destination because of delay in departure
of the Scheduled Flight.
(b) Your failure to board the next available flight offered by Airline.
(c) Your failure to obtain written confirmation from Airline or its
handling agents of the number of hours delayed and the reason
for such delay.
(d) strike or industrial action of other companies/carrier already in
existence on the date the Flight is arranged.
SECTION 2 (j) – HIJACK DISTRESS ALLOWANCE WE
WILL PAY
RM500 for every six 6 consecutive hours of delay thereafter, up to the maximum limit in the Summary of Benefits.
CONDITIONS
1. If Your flight is hijacked during your Trip and You are detained
for more than six (6) consecutive hours.
2. Provide Us with a police report or a report issued by the carrier
confirming that You were a victim of Hijack and the duration of
such Hijack.
EXTENSION OF COVER FOR SECTION 2
Cover shall be extended at Our discretion for up to thirty
(30) days from the expiry of the period of insurance for a Trip
without payment of any additional premium if the Insured Person
is hospitalized and/or quarantined overseas as recommended by a
Physician or any other
circumstances beyond the Insured Person’s control, which is deemed
reasonable by Us, prohibiting the Insured Person from returning to
Malaysia prior to the expiry of the period of insurance. This extension
of cover, if granted by Us, shall be applicable to Section 2-Travel
Inconvenience as per Schedule of Benefits.
SECTION 3 – MEDICAL AND EVACUATION EXPENSES
SECTION 3 (a) (i) MEDICAL EXPENSES REIMBURSEMENT DUE TO ACCIDENT

WE WILL PAY the Insured Person subject to an excess up to the
maximum limit that is stipulated in accordance to the Schedule of
Benefits.
CONDITIONS
(i) The limits indicated in the Schedule of Benefits is inclusive of
charges for services provided by AAN.
(ii) Claims necessarily incurred giving rise to a claim as a direct
result of Accident or Illness sustained by the Insured Person. (iii) Follow Up Treatment in Malaysia - The maximum sum
payable for medical expenses for follow-up treatment
incurred in Malaysia must be within 30 days from the expiry
date and not exceeding 10% of the limit as specified under
Section 3(a) Medical Expenses Reimbursement in the
Schedule of Benefits. The amount is a sub-limit of the
aggregate total payable under the Schedule of Benefits for
Medical Expenses Reimbursement.
(iv) The claim must be accompanied with an official payment
receipt.

evacuation in a medical emergency due to an Accident
or Sickness* occurring during the Trip.

AAN to organize for an emergency medical transport to the
nearest medical facility that is adequately equipped to treat
the Insured Person’s medical condition.
CONDITIONS (i) The type of transportation will depend on the availability
and the severity of the Insured Person’s condition.
(ii) *applies for Worldwide Cover only (iii) This Policy will only pay for one claim from Section 3 (b) (i) -
Emergency Medical Evacuation, Section 3 (b) (ii) - Emergency Medical Repatriation or Section 3(b) (iii) - Mortal Remains Repatriation at any one event.

We will not pay for claims in respect of Emergency Medical
Evacuation and Repatriation due to any form of Mountain Sickness.
SECTION 3 (b) (ii) EMERGENCY MEDICAL REPATRIATION
YOU CAN CLAIM in an event that the Insured Person is hospitalized
during the Trip due to an Accident or Sickness* and it is medically
necessary for the Insured Person to be repatriated back to the
nearest Hospital to his/her place of residence in Malaysia to
continue treatment.
WE WILL PAY the reasonable and necessary transportation costs
including the reasonable transportation cost of one qualified
medical attendant.
CONDITIONS
(i) During emergency medical transportation, Asia Assistance
Network (AAN) must be contacted immediately to approve all
Emergency Medical Repatriations.
(ii) We retain the right to decide whether emergency medical
transportation is required or not.

(iv) This Policy will only pay for one claim from Section 3 (b) (i) - Emergency Medical Evacuation, Section 3 (b) (ii) – Emergency Medical Repatriation or Section 3(b) (iii) - Mortal Remains Repatriation at any one event.

YOU CAN CLAIM if the Insured Person dies due to an Accident or Sickness* during the Trip.
WE WILL PAY
Asia Assistance will organize the transportation of his/her mortal
remains to his/her habitual residence in Malaysia subject to the
maximum limit as specified for Emergency Medical Evacuation and
Repatriation in the Schedule of Benefits.
CONDITIONS (i) The process of burial, embalming, basic casket is covered if it is
mandated by legislation or regulation. Ceremonies and ritual
rites are not covered in the repatriation coverage. (ii) *applies for Worldwide Cover only (iii) This Policy will only pay for one claim from Section 3(b) (i) -
Emergency Medical Evacuation, Section 3 (b) (ii) - Emergency Medical Repatriation or Section 3(b) (iii) - Mortal Remains Repatriation at any one event.

WE DO NOT PAY We will not pay for claims in respect of Emergency Medical

SECTION 3 (c) – COMPASSIONATE VISIT DUE TO HOSPITALISATION OF
INSURED PERSON
YOU CAN CLAIM if the Insured Person is hospitalised overseas for
more than 5 days as a result of Accident or Sickness* sustained
whilst on the Trip and his/her medical condition forbids evacuation.
WE WILL PAY for the reasonable travel fare (economy air travel or
first class rail travel) and hotel accommodation expenses
necessarily incurred by one relative or one friend to visit and stay
with You in the event such visit or stay is recommended by a
Physician.
CONDITIONS
i. Recommended by a Physician, up to the maximum limit as
specified for Compassionate Visit in the Schedule of Benefits.
ii. If You are hospitalised after being tested positive for COVID-19
as declared by order of the relevant government authorities or
a recognized public health authority of the country in which You
are visiting during the trip.
iii. *applies for Worldwide Cover only iv. This Policy will only pay for any claim under Section 3 (c) or
Section 3(d).

SECTION 3 (d) – COMPASSIONATE VISIT DUE TO
INSURED PERSON’S DEATH
YOU CAN CLAIM upon accidental death of the Insured Person while
on a scheduled Trip.
WE WILL PAY and reimburse the reasonable and necessary
additional expenses incurred by 1 person for accommodation,
communication, travel and meals. CONDITIONS
(i) This Policy will only pay for any claim under Section 3 (c) or
Section 3(d).

SECTION 3 (e) – HOSPITAL ALLOWANCE (UP TO MAXIMUM OF 30 FULL DAYS)
YOU CAN CLAIM if the Insured Person suffers from a
Sickness / Illness while on an Overseas Trip which requires
admission as an in-patient in a Hospital overseas and such
admission is medically necessary.
WE WILL PAY for every full day of admission at and up to the amount specified in Section 3 (e) of the Schedule of Benefits for Worldwide Cover.

**Special Conditions Applicable to Section 3 We are not liable to pay:-
1) costs for medical care except that prescribed by a licensed
Physician or which is delivered by a recognized Hospital;
2) for any loss, which is directly or indirectly, in whole or in
part, due to:-
(i) Civil or Foreign War, whether declared or not;
(ii) The effect of drugs, medication or treatment not
prescribed by a Physician;
(iii) The influence of alcohol characterized by a blood
alcohol level of the Insured Person;
(iv) Suicide, attempted suicide or intentionally self-
inflicted injury;
(v) The Insured Person’s participation in a competition
involving the use of motorized land, water or air
vehicle;
(vi) The Insured Person’s participation in any
professional sports, Extreme Sports and Activities;
(vii) The Insured Person flying whether as a fare- paying
passenger or not, in or on an aircraft that does not belong to
an airline company or which is not registered or licensed for
the transportation of fare- paying passengers on regular and
published scheduled routes;
(viii) The Insured Person’s active service in any of the armed forces
of any nation;
(ix) The participation or involvement of the Insured Person in a
criminal act;
(x) The Insured Person’s practice or utilization, either as pilot or
passenger, of a sailplane, hand glider, parasail, parachute,
hot air balloon, and the like, or engaging in any aerial flight
other than that as previously expressed.
3) We are not liable for expenses incurred due to:
(i) Pre-Existing Conditions;
(ii) Pregnancy and its consequences;
(iii) mental or emotional disorder;
(iv) sexually transmitted diseases, AIDS, HIV
infections and AIDS related infections;
(v) cosmetic surgery, apart from reconstructive surgery in
consequence of a covered Accident;
(vi) follow-up non-medical treatment of any kind resulting
from an Accident or Sickness, psychoanalytical treatment,
stays in rest homes, physiotherapy and detoxification;
(vii) ophthalmologic care, eye glasses, contact lenses, hearing
aids, dental care and dentures, unless they are the direct
consequence of an injury from a covered Accident, which
makes usage medically necessary;
(viii) non-emergency medical check-ups;
(ix) vaccinations and their complications.
SECTION 4 – PERSONAL LIABILITY COVER
YOU CAN CLAIM for claims by a third party for (a) Accidental bodily
injury to persons; and (b) Accidental damage to property, both of
which happen during the Trip.
WE WILL PAY and indemnify the Insured Person against his/her
personal legal liability to a third party claimant for damages and any
third party claimant’s cost and expenses up to the maximum limit
specified for Personal Liability in the Schedule of Benefits.

CONDITIONS
a) The total aggregate limit of liability for all claims under this
section in respect of such damages and/or costs and
expenses incurred with Our written consent in the defence or
settlement of any such claim shall not exceed the maximum
limit specified for Personal Liability in the Schedule of
Benefit.
b) Upon the happening of any event which may give rise to a
claim under this Section, the Insured Person shall within
Thirty (30) days therefrom give Us written notice with full
particulars. Every letter, claim, writ of summons or process
in respect of such claim shall be forthwith forwarded to Us
upon receipt of the same by the Insured Person. No
admission offer promise payment or indemnity shall be
made or given by or on behalf of the Insured Person without
Our written consent which shall be entitled to take over and
conduct in the name of the Insured Person the defence or
settlement of any claim or to prosecute in the name of the
Insured Person for its own benefit, any claim and shall have
full discretion in the conduct of any proceedings and in the
settlement of any claim. The Insured Person shall give all
such assistance as We may require.
c) General Exclusions Apply
WE DO NOT PAY
We shall not be liable for any liability in respect of the
following: -
1) deliberately caused by the Insured Person;
2) any non-pecuniary loss;
3) Accidental loss or damage to property belonging to or held
in trust or in the care, custody or control of the Insured
Person or any of his employees or any member of his Family
or household;
4) arising out of an agreement unless liability would have
arisen in the absence of such agreement;
5) death or accidental bodily injury to or Sickness of any
person who is under a contract of employment, service or
apprenticeship with the Insured Person when such death,
injury or Sickness arises out of and in the course of their
employment with the Insured Person;
6) arising out of the use, ownership or possession of firearms,
aircraft, watercraft, hovercraft, mechanically propelled
vehicles, lifts, animals of a dangerous species or livestock of
any kind;
7) damage caused by or to buildings or parts of building
owned, rented or occupied by the Insured Person;
8) any claim arising from an Insured Person being insane or
under intoxication (other than drugs prescribed by a
licensed Physician).
9) the Insured Person’s participation in any act of civil or
Foreign War, sabotage, riots, public demonstrations, strikes
and lockouts
10) Liability attaching under an express term of a contract, unless
liability would attach whether the express term existed or not;
11) Liability arising directly or indirectly by, through or in
connection with any loss or damage to property due to act
of animals belonging to be held in trust or in the Custody
or control of the Insured Person or your Immediate Family
Member or household;
12) Liability arising directly or indirectly by, through or in
connection with:
a) the ownership, possession or occupation of land or
buildings, immobile property or caravans other than
occupying on a temporary basis;
b) the carrying on of any trade, business or profession;
and
c) any racing or rallying activities;
13) any claim involving any of the Insured Person’s Immediate
Family Members
14) judgement(s) that is or are not in the first instance
delivered by or obtained from a court of competent
jurisdiction within Malaysia;
15) sexual molestation, physical or mental abuse;
16) golfing either in the course of play or practice;
17) any punitive, aggravated or exemplary damages awarded
by any court;
18) liability for which payment should be more specifically
claimed under any other Contract of insurance under the
name of the Insured Person.
SECTION 5 – HOME CARE BENEFIT
YOU CAN CLAIM against physical loss or damage to your Home
Contents at permanent residence in Malaysia that was left
vacant because of the Trip, caused by Theft during the period of
insurance, but only after the Trip commences.
WE WILL at our option reinstate, repair or indemnify the Insured
Person up to the amount stated in the Schedule of Benefits.
CONDITIONS
For loss or damage to any property insured forming part of a pair
or set, Our liability shall not exceed a proportionate part of the
value on the pair or set.
(i) We shall not be liable for more than RM500 in respect of
any one article or pair or set of articles. (ii) General Exclusions Apply.

WE DO NOT PAY We will not pay for claims arising directly or indirectly from, in
respect of, or due to:
(i) Any loss or damage occasioned through the Insured
Person’s willful act.
(ii) Losses recoverable from any other insurance taken up
by the Insured Person to cover his/her Home Contents.
SECTION 6 – WORLDWIDE TRAVEL ASSISTANCE SERVICES
The Insured Person may call AAN in Malaysia to request for
the services below.
SERVICES
a) Medical Referral and arrangement of medical appointments
Upon request, AAN shall provide the name, address and
telephone number of AAN doctor, Hospitals, dentists, and
dental clinics. AAN will attempt upon request to confirm the
availability of the applicable medical or dental professional
to make an appointment for treatment. Any third party cost
incurred shall be borne by the Insured Person.
b) Visa, Passport & Inoculation Requirements
Upon request, AAN will provide the Insured Person
information concerning Visa, inoculation, passport or
immunization requirement.
c) Currency Exchange & Flights Information Upon request, AAN will provide the Insured Person
information concerning foreign exchange rates of major
currencies, flight information on the arrival and departure by
destination, Time and flight number. The information will only
be available for the present day, the day before and the date
after The Insured Person’s enquiry.
CONDITIONS
Services described herein are available 24 hours a day, 365 days
to the Insured Person travelling anywhere within the Country of
Arrival.
General Exclusions Applicable to the Policy We do not cover:-
1) any illegal or unlawful intentional act by the Insured Person;
2) death or injury directly or indirectly occasioned by war,
invasion, act of foreign enemy, hostilities or warlike operation
(whether war be declared or not), riot, Civil War, rebellion,
revolution, insurrection, conspiracy, military or usurped power,
martial law or stage of siege, any of the events or causes which
determine the proclamation or maintenance of martial law or
state of siege, seizure, quarantine or customs regulations or
nationalization by or under the order of any government or
public or local authority;
3) delay, seizure, confiscation, destruction, requisition, retention
or detention by customs or any other government or public
authority or official;
4) any violation or attempt of violation of laws or resistance to
arrest by appropriate authority;
5) the Insured Person which is below the age of 30 days or over the
age of 75 (calculated since last birthday as at the date of
insurance purchased);
6) members of the armed forces whilst on duty or whilst engaging
in or taking part in naval, military or air force service or
operations or participating in operations of an offensive nature
planned or conducted by any civil or military authorities
against bandits, terrorists or other elements ;
7) during air travel except as a fare paying passenger in any
properly licensed private and/or commercial aircraft ;
8) any serious physical injury or disability resulting directly or
indirectly from, attributed to or accelerated by the use,
release, or escape of nuclear of nuclear materials that directly
or indirectly results in nuclear reaction or radiation or
radioactive contamination; or the dispersal or application of
pathogenic or poisonous biological or chemical materials; or
the release of pathogenic or poisonous biological or chemical
materials. For purposes of this exclusion, serious physical
injury means physical injury that involves a substantial risk of
death and/or protracted and obvious physical disfiguration,
and/or protracted loss of or impairment of the function of a
bodily member or an organ;

9) any Pre-Existing Condition;
10) suicide, attempted suicide or any intentional self-inflicted
injuries acted upon by the Insured Person to him/herself
whether sane or insane;
11) treatment of alcoholism or drug abuse or any other
complications arising therefrom or any drug related
Accident;
12) pregnancy, miscarriage or Childbirth, or any treatment
relating to birth control or treatment pertaining to
infertility or any other complication arising therefrom;
13) psychosis, mental or nervous disorders or sleep
disturbance disorders;
14) cosmetic or plastic surgery or any elective surgery;
15) any congenital defect which has manifested or was
diagnosed before the policy commencement date;
16) any form of dental care or surgery unless necessitated
by injury caused by the Accident covered under the
Policy to sound and natural teeth ;
17) routine health check-ups, any medical investigation(s)
not directly related to admission diagnosis, Illness or
injury, or any related treatment;
18) Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) or any
complications associated with infection by any Human
Immune Deficiency Virus (HIV) (for the purpose of this
Policy, the definition of AIDS shall be that used by the
World Health Organisation; infection shall be deemed to
have occurred where blood or other relevant test(s)
indicate in Our opinion either the presence of any Human
Immune Deficiency Virus (HIV) or Antibodies to such Virus);
19) any injury sustained while serving as a crew member of
any aircraft except as a fare-paying passenger in any
aircraft having a current and valid air worthiness
certification issued by the appropriate authority of the
country of its registry ;
20) driving or riding in any kind of race involving motorized
vehicle;
21) late arrival of the Insured Person at the airport for the
Scheduled Flight after the official check-in Time;
22) failure of the Insured Person to take reasonable measure to
protect, save or recover lost luggage;
23) failure of the Insured Person to notify the relevant airline
authorities of missing luggage at the scheduled destination
point and to obtain a property irregularity report;
24) any loss, injury, damage or legal liability arising directly or
indirectly from travel in, to or through Tibet, Mongolia and
Nepal;
25) engaging practicing or participating in sport in a professional
capacity or when an Insured Person would or could earn
income or remuneration from engaging in such sport;
26) Hospital admission which is not medically necessary, or
medical recovery, custodial or rest care;
27) any loss, injury, damage or legal liability suffered or sustained
directly or indirectly by an Insured Person if that Insured
Person is :-
a) a terrorist or member of a terrorist organisation; or
b) dealer of nuclear,
chemical or biological weapons;
c) narcotics trafficker.
28) any loss resulting directly and indirectly (in whole or in
part) from:
(a) Pandemic
(b) Epidemic Subject to the exceptions of COVID-19 Bereavement Allowance, Section 2(a) – Trip Cancellation, Section 3 (c) Compassionate Visit due to hospitalization of Insured Person , Section 3 (e) – Hospital Allowance (Up to Maximum of 30 Full Days).
General Conditions Applicable to the Policy
1) Basis of Contract
This Policy shall form the basis of understanding and
agreement between You and Us. Therefore, observation and
fulfilment of the terms and conditions by You shall be
condition precedent to any liability for Us to make any
payment under this Policy
2) Misrepresentation / Fraud
The Policy shall be declared null and void and the benefits shall
not be payable if: -
a. there is failure to disclose or misrepresentation of any
material fact with respect to the Insured Person that
determines the existence and premium of the Policy
and/or
b. there is fraud.

3) Amendments We reserve our rights to amend the terms and conditions of
this Policy which shall be binding on all persons whether
insured under the Policy prior to, during, or after the
effective date of the amendment.
4) Currency of Payment
Payment of any claim covered under this Policy shall be made
in Ringgit Malaysia or its equivalent in any other currency at
the prevailing rate of exchange as declared by Bank Negara at
the Time of effecting payment.
5) Ages
All ages referred to in this Policy shall be the age of the
Insured Person at his/her last birthday.
6) Country of Residence
Coverage provided to You is subject to either their residence
in Malaysia or for non-residents, to their travel through
Malaysia or to their transit through a Malaysian Airport.
7) Notice and Procedures of Claims
(a) When a claim is made, the Insured Person or the legal
representative shall:-
(i) notify Us in writing as soon as possible but not later
than thirty (30) days after any event which may give
rise to a claim by filling up the claim form as We have
provided; any delay must be supported by justifiable
reasons and the acceptance is at Our sole discretion
(ii) furnish in writing to Us, at Your own cost, evidence and proof including but not limited to information, particulars, accounts, original receipt, tickets, invoices, Insured Person’s statements, physician’s letter, reports and any other documents as We require in such form as prescribed
(b) Failure to comply with this condition will render
the claim not payable.
8) Claims Payable & Discharge
Claim for loss of life in respect of the Insured Person is payable
to the nominee(s) elected by the Insured Person and if there
is no nominee, to the legal beneficiary as stipulated under
the Probate or Letters of Administration, or for foreigners,
any equivalent document in accordance with the Insured
Person’s country’s laws. Claim for all other benefits will be
paid to the Insured Person or his/her estate upon death. The
process of claim including settlement shall be handled
between the Insured Person or his/her nominee or his/her
estate and Us as the case may be, whose sole discharge will
constitute full and final discharge of the claim lodged.
9) Sanctions Clause
We are not liable to make any payment under this Policy where
the Insured Person or any beneficiary under the Policy is a citizen
or agent of the government of any country against which any
laws and/or regulations governing this Policy and/or Our parent
company or Our ultimate controlling entity has established an
embargo or other form of economic sanction which have the
effect of prohibiting Us to provide insurance coverage or
transacting business or offering economic benefits to the
Insured Person or any other beneficiary. It is further understood
and agreed that no benefits or payments will be made to any
beneficiary who is declared unable to receive economic benefits
under the laws and/or regulations of Malaysia.
10) Receipts
We shall not be bound by any notice or any trust charge, a lien,
assignment or other dealing with this Policy. The receipt by the
Insured Person for any compensation payable herein discharge
Us from all liabilities.
11) Arbitration Clause
Any dispute which may arise between You and Us in relation to
this Policy or rights or liabilities of parties hereto shall be referred
to the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC) in accordance
to the AIAC Arbitration Rules.
12) Limitation of Time If a claim is made under the Policy and rejected by Us, it is a
condition precedent that the Insured or his/her legal personal
representatives shall commence arbitration proceedings within
six (6) months of such rejection, failing which, We shall be
discharged from all liabilities whatsoever for that claim.
13) Cancellation and Refund for Short Journey Policy
a) We will refund in full the premium paid if You cancel the Journey due to unforeseen circumstances prior to the date of departure provided You will not make any claim for travel and cancellation charges.
b) We will not refund any premium paid if You cancel the Journey
due to unforeseen circumstances prior to the date of
departure if We have agreed to pay claims for travel and
cancellation charges.
c) We will not refund any premium paid if You cancel the Policy
due to reasons other than unforeseen circumstances prior to
the date of departure.

For the purpose of this Condition Unforeseen
Circumstances refer to:
a. Your death or the death of an Immediate Family
Member; or
b. Bodily Injury or Sickness that requires treatment by a
Medical Practitioner which results in that Medical
Practitioner certifying in writing that You or an
Immediate Family Member is unfit to begin or
continue the journey; or
c. Unexpected outbreak or strike, riot or civil
commotion arising out of circumstances beyond Your
control.
14) Annual Policy
(a) There is no insurance cover under this Policy in respect
of Annual Cover for One Way Cover.
(b) The maximum number of days of coverage per journey
or trip is limited to sixty (60) days.
(c) You can only purchase the Policy if you are a person
aged between eighteen (18) to seventy-five (75) years.
(d) Extension of Period of Insurance is not applicable to an
Annual Policy.
(e) We will not refund any premium paid if You cancel
Your Policy after We have agreed to pay any claim
under the Policy or if there has been an occurrence of
any event for which a claim may arise under the Policy.
(f) Your Annual policy will cease coverage when Your
Personal Accident Benefits claim is completely paid up
(100% of the sum insured stated on the Schedule of
Benefits).
(g) We will charge You a percentage of the premium in
accordance with the scale below and refund the
balance if You cancel the Policy after issuance of the
Policy

15) Governing Law
This Policy shall be governed by Malaysian law.
16) Language Prevails
If there is any conflict or inconsistency between any of the
contents of the document and the contents of a translated
version of this document in any other language, the contents
of this Policy in English shall prevail.
17) Other Insurance
If at the Time of loss or damage, there is any other insurance
covering the same loss, damage or liability, We will pay only
a proportion of the claim and We will require details of such
other insurance taken by You.
18) Duplication of Cover
If an Insured Person is covered by more than one (1) policy by
Us and/or our Affiliates, the claims will be paid by the policy
which provides the greatest amount of benefit. Where the
benefit under each such policy is identical, We will only
entertain the claim under the policy first issued.
19) Cash Before Cover
It is condition precedent of this Policy that the premium due
must be paid and received by Us before the commencement
date. If this condition is not complied with, then this Policy is
automatically deemed null and void. We reserve our rights to
refuse any coverage and/or reject any claim resulting from
non-payment of premium to Us.
20) Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing
and Proceeds of Unlawful Act 2001 (AMLATFPUAA)
By virtue of AMLATFPUAA, any suspicious transaction as
classified by the law is required to be reported to Bank Negara
Malaysia.
21) Personal Data The Certificate of Insurance has been issued based on the
information You have provided at the point of purchase of
the Cover. In the event the information is inaccurate, please
notify Us of the same in writing, by visiting any of our
branches or by email to hello.my@tuneprotect.com, within
fifteen (15) days of the receipt of Your Policy, with the
required proof, to enable Us to make the necessary
amendments. In the event no notification is received, the
information in the Policy shall be deemed accurate and the
Policy shall be in full effect. Please note that this Policy and
Certificate of Insurance shall be read as one.

22) Consent You have read the Tune Protect Privacy Policy (https://www.tuneprotect.com/privacy-policy/) and agree that all personal data provided to the Company by You and/or acquired by the Company from the public domain, as well as personal data that arises as a result of the provision of Cover to You will be subject to such Privacy Policy as may be varied from time to time. 23) Change of contact/ personal details It is important that you inform us of any change in your
contact detail/ life profile including nomination, occupation
and personal pursuits which would affect the risk profile of
this Policy.
