Saving on Macs 101:

saving work into your student

folder

Make sure to select File > Save As…

Notice it defaults to

the “Downloads” folder.

From the dropdown menu select “users”

From the dropdown menu select “users”

Find your name on the list (you will only be able to edit your own folder)

Make sure to rename your file!

Put your work in the appropriate folder, and hit “Save”

Next time you want to save your work, you can use the shortcut (it will remember to save in the same place!)

You ask:

But how do I retrieve my work the next day?

Log on to the computer.Select Go>Computer

In the drive called “Home$” you will find your student folder.

Find the correct folder, then open up your file! Get to work!
