Life • Liberata was a Portuguese princess whose father was a cruel pagan king. Liberata's father had arranged a self-serving marriage for her with a Pagan king. She prayed to Jesus that she wouldn’t have to marry her father’s ally, and she soon grew unsightly facial hair which repelled him. The wedding was canceled, and Liberata was crucified.

Patronage

• Relief from tribulations, in particular by woman who wished to be liberated from abusive husband.

Miracles

• Some miracle are when she prayed to Jesus that she wouldn't’ t have to marry her fathers ally and she miraculously grew a

beard.

Legends• One legend is when her mother told their

maid Sila to drown all of the girls in the Minor River, But Sila did not listen and secretly a Christian gave the girls to several familys to live with. When they were later twenty they were brought before the king (there father) because of threr religious faith the king had reconized them as his own daughters and askeed them to give up their religious belief
