Dear Parishioners, I would like to congratulate our RCIA Candidates and Catechumens as they experienced the Rite of Election
with Bishop Hartmayer yesterday (Saturday). Individuals from different parts of the Diocese gathered here at
St. Joseph’s with our Bishop as he formally welcomed them to enter into the season of Lent as a preparation
for Easter, but also as a preparation for their coming into the fullness of the faith. Please continue to pray for
these individuals and to welcome them and introduce yourselves to them when you see them.
All of us have 40 days of preparation and great opportunities to grow in our spiritual lives and to put away
our sins. In our Gospel this weekend we hear of Satan trying to tempt Jesus and how our blessed Lord resist-
ed in the face of temptation. Satan lurks around us usually when we are at our weakest or most vulnerable. It
is in those times we need to be especially vigilant and fly to our Lord for His grace and to ask our Blessed
Mother for her powerful prayers. Our Lord is always awaiting us to come to Him and He is always available
for us to visit Him in our Adoration Chapel. Lent is great season for us to spend time with our Lord.
Have a blessed week!
Fr. Winchel

Bookstore Inspired by the recent generosity of a large anonymous donor,
another anonymous donor has agreed to pay for all the
inventory sold through the bookstore in 2018 and to allow the
church to receive the profit from the sales. The donor hopes
that this will encourage the faithful to enjoy the riches and joys
that are found in the bookstore. Come browse and be inspired
(as the donor intended and hoped). Don't have a book for
Lent yet? Easter gifts? Crucifix for that new baby's room?
Pillowcases with prayers on them? Come see!
