MY TOMB WOULD I BE SPEAKING"
"Believe Me, though I pass away, My bones in My tomb will give you
hope and confidence. Not only Myself but MY TOMB WOULD BE
SPEAKING, moving and communicating with those who would
surrender themselves wholeheartedly to Me Do not be anxious
that I would be absent from you. You will hear My bones speaking
and discussing your welfare, but remember Me always,
believe in Me heart and soul and then, you will be most benefited."

With "Love" One can reach 4'God"
Some of our Hindu Philosopher's concept is that 'God' manifests out
of the 'ether' in a human form for the sake of His devotees and when
His mission is con pitted. He vanishes. So whatever may be ' Rishi-
moolam Nadi Moolam we should not bother about that.
The Great Seers, who, after experiencing this thorny life of
"Spiritualty", and attained their goal, (seeing God face to face) have
made it simple & smooth for the coming generations, what is asked of
us is only "Nama Japa", and some charity within the budget, which
will make the soul purified. For such a devotee, the whole horizon
appears as one "Manifestation" and various other beings coming from
one eternal soul.
The "Guru" is next to 'God" and sometimes equal to "Him". He comes
down from "His" position to embrace the devotee, whose mind is well
conditioned and who has attained spiritual maturity. In the realm of
"Spiritual life" the ' Guru" seeks out the disciple, as in the case of
Bhakta Kabir, Meerabhai, and many others.
He (the disciple) realizes the value of human birth and tunes up his
body, mind and speech towards spiritual discipline He is not jealous
of others nor aware of the worldly life except aspiring to obtain the
grace of his "Guru & God". He is contented and walks alone with the
company of his "Ishta Devta", anywhere at any time.
Baba used to say "Night & Day, I think of my people .I count their
names over and over again." This mutual love between the Guru &
disciple is known as the "Lord's Grace" or 'Mercy Dawned."
Sai Prema January 1987
www.saileelas.org
He (the disciple) gets up in the early morning (Brahma Muhurat).
After completing his "nature calls," he sits face to face with his "Ishta
Devta" and attains the required guidance from his "Visions." Then he
pays 'homage" to the 'Sun God," the 'Universal Spirit" in general, and
gaining "Vairagya & Mental Strength. Thus his 'Tax-Returns' are filed.
His body becomes light as a feather. He sees only 'good in
everything. He sees "God" in all the living beings and talks only good
about his co-brothers.
Whole World becomes his friend. He cries only in ecsatsy
"Sarvabootha Vyaphi—Sat Guru Sai. He craves for 'Sat Sangha"
(Good Company) Here Krishna Bhagwan is charioting Arjuna). Now
the body and the senses are controlled by the soul completely. Soul
remains uneffected.
Such a person realises the value of human—life and relinquishes
himself to the service of God and his manifestation which is
"Love in Purity."
Many a time, we ponder over life and question ourselves "why was I
born "? But we are born Let us therefore make the best use of our life
by serving God and "His" Creations as "His" instruments. This is the
only way to attain peace and happiness and mingle with the
"Paramount Sou!," ''Paramat-man." Those who hunger for spiritual
food are monarchs on earth and heaven.
These acts are our "Paper Boats" with which we greet "God" our
"Comrade of the Road," as Tagore. has beautifully put it.

"Bhakti Matured"
'Every moment and everyday and every time you come in my mind'.
Many a song in praise in thy mood I sang. All the notes
proclaim you are with me.
Frequent thy steps move. Golden touch of your feet that make my
joy to shine.
I know Thee as my God and stand apart. I do not know thee, as my
father and bow Grasp not Thy hand as my friends.
I stand not where they connect down and ownest thyself as mine,
there to clasp Thee to my heart and take thee as my comrade.
I shrink to give up my life in pleasure and in pain I stand not by the
side of men.
theirs stand by Thee and thus do not plunge into the great
waters of life.

Quotation for the Month
The knowers of the three Vedas. The Soma drinkers, are purified
from sin and worship "Me" which sacrifices and pray of "Me" as the
path to Heaven. They reach the holy world of "India and enjoy in
Heaven" the celestial pleasures of God. Having enjoyed the spacious
world of heaven, they return to this mortal world when their merit is
exhausted. Thus, "Following the rituals enjoined in the three Vedas,
and desirous of pleasure, they obtain the transitory and again
become subject to "Death and Rebirth", but those who worship 'Me"
and "Me" alone, thinking of no other, to them "I" ensure the power to
preserve the old and gain the new. Says "Krishna Bhagavan."

existence of sorrow. (Dukha).

Dear Selves,
Do you need Me ?
I am there.

You cannot hear Me, yet I speak through your voice.
You cannot feel Me, yet I am the power at work in your hands.
I am at work, though you do not understand my ways.

I am not strange visions. I am not mysteries.
Only an absolute stillness, beyond Self ;can you know me ail am?
And then, but as a feeling and a faith.
Yet I am there. Yet I hear. Yet I answer.

Continued from December issue. Succession to Sai'sSeat :—-
Once upon a time Sai Baba seems to have had an idea that
somebody might be found to carry on his Guiu Param-para. Rao
Bahadur H. V. Sathe in his statement says that some people asked
him. Baba are you going to leave the world without entrusting your full
powers and possessions to anyone ? Then according to Sathe,
Baba's reply was, "what ? will there not be some man coming ?" That
is all. That coupled with Baba's treatment of Sri Kasinath upasani
Maharaj from 1911 onwards made some people believe at that time
that Sri Sai Baba hoped that Kasinath Maharaj or Upasani Baba
could be developed into his successor, having all his nature and
powers, and being able to give all the help to persons accustomed to
get their help from Sri Sai Baba. Sri Sai seems to have hoped no
doubt in 1911-12. that Sri Kasinath would receive the full impress of
Sai personality by perfect laya or merger in him and that on the expiry
of four years from Sravan or July 1911. That is, by July 1915, he
would be completely transformed into God filled with Khandoba's
grace, absolutely rid of (Kasinath's) his old vasanas, and perfectly
prepared to continue Sai's work. So, Sai said To him. "Do nothing'
Sai Prema January 1987
www.saileelas.org
(which means, Be receptive) "Stay in Khandoba's temple doing
nothing for four years. Then you will be the recipient of Khandoba's
full grace, that is, you will get all his powers, and Shama will come
and pull you out of Khandoba's solitude and I will place you in the
open. That is, your divinity will be recognised by all and everyone will
come and worship you as the Gurudeva," That might have been Sai
Baba's hope in the beginning at any rate. For Baba's Guru-
parampara, the sishya has to absorb the Gurudevas soul into himself
by concentrated love forgetting the entire world beside. This was
possible for at his early age of five when he contacted his Gurudeva
and continued to serve him for 10 or 12 years with concentrated love.
Baba says that he loved nothing in the world except the Guru and if
the Guru was not there, he wondered what his eyes were for. That is
a romantic attachment to the Guru and an ability to banish all worldy
thought unconnected with the Guru. But this was not possible! for any
person other than Baba, and especially for persons who have already
dipped themselves into the world deep enough. In the case of
Kasinath Maharaj, he came into contact with Sai Baba for such
training, only at the age of 41. He had already had two wives, was
living with a third wife and had developed disease. And he was
anxious for the cure of the disease to resume his domestic life with
his wife and continue his position in his family. He had his
attachments and there was no particular reason why he should not
have his worldly affections. The idea of being completely absorbed in
God and forgetting all things except the Guru all day long was totally
foreign to Upasani Baba as to so many other aspirants and Sadhakas.
