CFIP Series Microwave Radio System
CFIP Marathon 300MHz and 1.4GHz point-to-point long-haul microwave system is an ideal solution for industrial applications where fiber is not available. Primarily designed for remote and rural areas Marathon Full Indoor Unit can establish link in adverse weather conditions and over long distances - frequently exceeding 100 km. SAF Tehnika Marathon solution is particularly applicable for utility (electricity, water), oil & gas, public safety, and transport companies who need reliable data & voice transmission.
Most up-to date technology with utilizing up to 128QAM modulation and delivering up to 18Mbps Ethernet and up to 4 E1 channels is ideal for building hybrid networks;
High system gain 300MHz/1.4 GHz frequency band allows building long distance links (up to100 km and more).
Industrial grade fanless design increases reliability and enables low power consumption;
ACM (Adaptive Coding and Modulation) and ATPC (Automatic Transmit Power Control) for high availability and high density deployments;
Up to 4K active VLAN entries allows building many port-to-port networks paths for specific customer services;
Jumbo frame size supports 9728 bytes, which allows using longer header info (VLAN, MPLS) and transmitting more useful content and less headers, thus gaining on total throughput;
Advanced Ethernet features like Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol allows building secure and self-healing network topologies.

Utilities
Public Safety
Robust and reliable infrastructure is essential for mission-critical communications between control centers and utility assets: compromising on safety or efficiency is not an option for today's electric, gas and water companies. Utilities very often need many links connected in chain with is supported by CFIP Marathon with low latency networks.
Fire, police and ambulance services need quick and easily establishing mission-critical communications network equipment. Whether to interconnect mobile radio stations or to establish a private network with central command and control locations, CFIP Marathon with advanced Ethernet features like Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol (MSTP) and Adaptive Coding and Modulation (ACM) allows building secure and self-healing network topologies.

Oil & Gas
For road, rail and air operators is substantially necessary to have safe and reliable voice and data communications equipment. With wide areas to cover, often over long distances and with challenging terrains, a robust, well performing, and cost-effective solution is essential to cope with the transport industry's complex communications challenges. CFIP Marathon high system gain and 1.4 GHz frequency band allows building long distance links - up to 100km and more.
More than 2.5 billion people that form over 40% of the planet's population, live in rural and remote areas of developing countries. Today telecommunication companies all around the world meet the challenge to improve the position of rural areas in regards to advanced communications services and technologies. CFIP Marathon offers data transmission in areas of difficult terrain and adverse weather conditions over long distances up to 100 km and more, providing capacity up to 17.5 Mbps.
As the world's demand for oil & gas keeps growing, so does the need for reliable and cost-effective communication between off-shore platforms and terrestrial locations. CFIP Marathon radio is a perfect solution for oil & gas companies to build highly reliable 1+1 (Space Diversity, FD, HSB) protection mechanisms over water or desert. It allows building robust and well-managed communication networks to control and monitor their mission-critical applications.
