RMS Titanic

“Ship of Dreams”

http://students.umf.maine.edu/~hartwenr/webquest/teacherpage/titanic%20in%20dock.jpg

This photo was taken by a passenger of the Carpathia, the ship that

came to the rescue of the Titanic survivors. This is the last lifeboat

successfully launched from the Titanic.

Remarkably, this Marconi telegram sent by Titanic survivor Philip Mock to his

brother in law Paul Schabert, notifying him that both he and Mrs. Schabert had

survived, has been preserved. Thanks to Randy Ritter of Derby for the image. http://derbyhistorical.org/Titanic.htm
