What were you doing before you came to WDI?I bartended for five years at a classic New York City bar, during which time I landed a spot in Time Out New York’s Top 50 Bartenders of 2015.
If you could build an app for a famous person, dead or alive, what would it be and who would it be for?
I would build an app for Bob Fosse, which could be used by other theatrical cho-reographers as well. It would have capability to upload music files, upload videos with a controller to adjust the speed, and a tool to mark up a song and annotate it by lyrics, by sheet music, or by free-form notation to share with dancers so they can learn choreography from anywhere.
What is your favorite app you’ve built so far?The group project I worked on, Lunch Hunch, is one I’ve been enjoying using. It is simple and straightforward and the graphics and UX are awesomely streamlined.
What is your real-life super power?I am a chameleon. I’m still me, but I soak up what’s around me.
What technologies are you looking forward to learning next?I would like to dive into node.js so I can put JavaScript to work in the backend. I would also like to get more familiar building classes in Ruby and using them within the Rails framework.
