Setting up your laptop to use at Golden Grove High School There are a number of steps you need to undertake to get your laptop ready for use at Golden Grove High School

When at Home do these steps 1-6: 1. Startup/setup laptop for home use (out of box) 2. Connect to home wireless and internet 3. GGHS laptop enrolment process, Go to Step 3 4. Access O365 web applications and email, Go to Step 4 5. Install local version of Office, Go to Step 5 6. When at school, to connect to school wireless, Go to Step 6

There is a trouble shooting section at end of this guide

Step 3: <GGHS laptop enrolment process>

1. Connect laptop to unfiltered internet connection 2. On laptop, open browser and go to:-

https://m.meraki.com/cf/m_index?enrollment_code=240-634-9130

Click on register

3. Click on Download Systems Manager Agent

4. Wait for ‘MerakiPCCAgent.msi’ download to complete, then run the msi package

5. Accept license agreement and click install

6. Click Yes to allow installation

7. Install will commence, you will several CMD windows appear and close automatically.

8. Click Finish

9. Return to the browser window, click on ‘Open Workspace Settings’ (You don’t need to wait for the ‘Device check in’ process to complete)

10. Chrome will prompt to accept - Click ‘Open Settings’

11. Windows ‘Access Work or School’ Settings window will open.

12. Click on + Connect 13. Enter your email address and click next

**This can be any email address, EXCEPT the username@schools.sa.edu.au, as this will attempt to login to the Education Department Learnlink portal! The user can use their own personal email address or parent/Guardian email address.

Ultimately, we need to enter something to get to the next stage where we can enter the Meraki cloud address.

14. The next screen will show the option to enter ‘MDM Server URL’ Enter n240.meraki.com, click next

15. Enter 240-634-9130 and click register

16. Clear the entry in username field Enter your network username and password, as per below:-

17. Click Login

18. The following window will be displayed, click ‘Got It’

19. The Access Work or School settings window should now display:-

20. You can now close this window and the browser window. Enrolment complete.

Step 4: < Access O365 web applications and email >

1. Open a web browser and go to http://www.office.com

2. Click Sign In (top right corner) and you will be presented with following screen

3. Click the link “Local School account”

4. Click the button “local School account 5. Start typing Golden Grove High School and select that text line

6. Enter your Golden Grove High School network login username/password

(e.g. John.Smith123.edu.au) to login to the Office 365 portal

7. Once authenticated, you will be logged into the Office 365 Portal, where you can access your Office365 applications on line

Step 5: <Install local version of Office> Install local version of Office

1. From the Office 365 Portal Click Install Office 2016 (top right corner) 2. Follow the steps provided to install Office 365 Pro Plus.

3. Click Run to Install.

Step 6: <When at school, to connect to school wireless> When at school you will need to connect your laptop to the school wireless. All the settings are in place if you have followed Step 3 correctly

1. Login to your own account on your laptop.

2. Confirm that the Correct Date and Time is Set (change if needed)

Configure Wireless

3. Left Click on wireless icon

4. Left Click GGHS Wireless network

5. Left Click Connect.

6. Login as Network login and password and Click OK

7. Click Connect to Continue.

Check Network Is set to Private

8. Right Click Wireless Icon

9. Left Click Open Network and Sharing Centre

10. GGHS should be listed as a Private Network 11. To Change from Public to Private Left Click on Change connection properties 12. Left Click Private 13. Once Completed Left Click Close. Confirm that GGHS is Listed as Private

Trouble shooting: GGHS ICT support will be present during fee paying days on; 16th January 1:00pm-7:00pm, 17th January 8:30am-1:30pm, 20th January 1:00pm – 7:00pm. to assist with this laptop enrolment process. Steps 1-3 are imperative, if there is problem with steps 4-5 please seek help for Golden Grove ICT.
