(2) The Maintenance Service Companies operates a quality controI
system to
eithere requirements of ISO 9000 (or equivalent) or is andited and
approved by a
GMDSS manufacturer ,
(a) A copy ofe ISO 9000 Accreditation Cercate or accreditation
from
GMDSS product manufactures detailing tasks and addresses of.e
facilities covered by the accreditation; Or Recognized
Organization

Maintenance Service Company.
(3) Maienance Service Company9s Service sta
(∴ are available at all times to provide tedmical advice and
arrange for
earliest service;
(b) have access to suitle repair and maintenance facilities and

tooIs and test equipme(Calibrated if appropriate) to undertcke
SBM

maintenance activities.
(5) Access is provided to aI set of technical manuals to cover the
equipme
under contractual agreemerits.
(6) Access is availle to service exchange units, SPare PartS and
latest soval
VerSions and xpdates as advised by the manufacturer;
(7) Apprapriate records of repair and mairitenance are kept and
availalble for
inspection bye Adminisation as may be required;
(8) The ship’s company has original Shore Based Maintenance
agreemeor
Certificate, Which validfty is not more than five years, Showinge
existence of
Current SBM agreement, COPies of which is to be provided to ships
to be kept wi
Ship’s certificatees or diaplayed ate main radio
installation.
(9) Ship’s company or Maintenance Service Company shall make
available toe
Department of Marine Administration, COPleS Of SBM and a valid
contractual
agreement.
